Larry Stevens Furtick Jr. (born February 19, 1980) is an American Baptist evangelical Christian pastor, author,and composer of Elevation Worship. He is the founder and senior pastor of Elevation Church, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Furtick was born and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, and attended Berkeley High School. At the age of 16, after reading the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, he felt called to pastor a church in a major city.He studied at North Greenville University in communication and earned a Bachelor of Arts, then he studied at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity.

I genuinely think that I have a distracted mind. Every time I start to focus on my relationship with God and focusing on myself I get distracted by outside forces. Whether that’s harboring anger towards those who’ve done me wrong or it’s women, or my own thoughts telling me that I’m not going to be anything in life. I genuinely need God to just heal my spirt and mind. I need it.

I TRULY felt this…..this sounds like that wrestling thing Jacob went through. I am coming out of the other side into my healing and I realized those people that hurt me were hurt too…it WILL get better please allow it…praying for you 🙏🏾

Interesting I noticed I’ve been getting lazier on my days off blaming my construction job and babysitting my grandson all the time tho it is hard most of the time I didn’t know laziness was a sinful act. I’ll take note thank you for your words of wisdom pastor
