A quick tip for lynels is that they resist all elements so next time i’d suggest using regular arrows

This was a terrifying encounter. Since then, I make it a point to fight them for practice. Stasis helps for a few seconds.

Funny to mention how the blood moon also came up when i just finished beating it, it was my second game cause i already beat the game but i wanted to start all over with a different account not losing my progress from months and instead of sneaking around i went to kill it, then i killed it and then the music and malice came and i was like “nope not happening again, byeee”

Yea, the harder lynels especially the silver lynels can one hit kill you if you dont have enough hearts.

The silver ones are STRONG! But not impossible since as a BOTW pro-ish, I do it as a sport or something.

I go Lynel-hunting on the regular. Hyrule Field in my Master Mode file is full of gold ones now. So much fun!!!! Seriously I love fighting these things. I rarely take damage anymore and they drop the best loot.

i feel this haha. took down this lynel last night first try. although just barely. i used parrying rather than dodging though. finally went to bed at about 2am after taking down the elephant devine beast. incredible game

They don’t stand a chance with upgraded stasis, a level 3 attack elixir, and a good strength 2 handed weapon along with urbosa’s fury. Can take a savage lynel out in about a minute. Almost instant savage lynel crushers with a 78 HP rating and a savage lynel bow with a 32 x 3 hp rating.

When I first got to this Lynel, my dumbass self thought this was a divine beast!!! Was I ever wrong on this! This Lynel killed me like 10 times the first time I tried to fight him, but just as the other lynels, you just have to figure their moves as well.

The trick is to do perfect dodges and stay as close as possible so it doesnt do its arrows

The time when i don't know how to parry. Then the flurry rush. At first just gives you the intimidation and just escape the fight. Yet it is necessary because of the upgrade on your armour set especially the barbarian set. You cannot escape fighting the lynel.

When i first time encountered him i was like "ok, if i'm not going to learn how to fight him properly, this game's dead for me" it took me 3-4 attempts, but oh boi, now i just annihilate every lynel i see on map in both botw and totk

Yeah, it was quite the learning experience. These days, I can take them down with no effort. If I was doing the same damage, then I'll just need to bring as many good weapons as I can lol

Couple of things: 1st. Congrats on taking down that lynel I didnt do it on my first attempt. 2nd. Now I have gear, food, hearts, abilitys and more practice with mechanics so defeating even white lynels is a walk in the park but I remember how terrifying this encounter was. 3rd. It seems when you mount the lynel you dont hit it, if you press y while you mounted the lynel you can hit it untill you hit it 5 times or your stamina is up. These hits also dont take durability away from your weapons so they are a really great way to deal damage. Im sure you already know this but just in case you didnt.

I actually did very well the first time after the first memory near the Gate (Kakhariko).. I know I had to spam Fury Rush and in betweem stunning him in slow mo with shock arrows using his flames to jump high . PS:I only had 4 heart containers but ate Armour+ lvl 3 food before the fight ..so every hit from the lynel only took a quarter heart damage.

Having stealth up potion effect plus stealth up from armor doesn’t stack cuz it maxes out at lvl 3 no matter what same goes for totk and all other effects btw

As a kid I beat blue lynels its pretty easy first you get a strong weapon then second u have to dodge and flurry rush all of his attacks for me its pretty easy but you know it takes tryhards to do it

This is from a lack of technique. I was not ready for a fight like this. There is a way to take them down easier, but the key is timing. These days, regular Lynels are not a problem anymore.
