hell no, this is more strategic survival base. Where as Sea of Thieves is more arcade fast-paced first-person shooter. tho SoT can get boring quickly, in this game you'll need a pretty big crew if you want to get anywhere, plus the grind to even get a brigittine let alone a galleon. I've been in fights where it's lasted up to 2 hours long. It's kind of like Call of Duty to Battlefield
