Yeah the two opposites, big barge with big engine (fast in the straights and pulls away but has to go slow through corners) while the other can carry alot more speed through the corners but won't accelerate as quick on the straights. Can imagine it being a little annoying if you get overtaken by a big engine barge on the straights to be stuck behind them through a cornering section like that astra 😅😂

Misha looked way happier when when he was driving an old Alfa 156 couple weeks ago. Altough Alfa had 460 hp less and it was FWD. This just shows that car doesn't always have to be powerfull and awd/rwd in order to be fun to drive.

@@stoneeh I mean generally, aluminium is used on performance cars, which are more prone to be mistreated, so there is that I guess ? For the same volume, aluminium is weaker than steel but stronger if you take the weight into account. So I think it’s more to do with the design than the material.

The best you can get in that car is traction control "sport" and I'm not so sure how off it is then...

I have one, I recommend traction off & to the minimum use Michelin PS4S for daily use. P Zero are no way near as dynamic.

I don't know if you understand french Misha but i can tell you that those guys were really impressed by your driving, complementing a lot the way you handle the car. It might be because of the weight but it really doesn't feel like 650hp. Great driving

A lot of good comments, quite a few bad ones. I think the negative comments missed the whole point and don’t understand how heavy the car is along with stock suspension and crappy Pzeros. Yet, he managed to push the big girl around the Ring for your viewing entertainment…it was an exercise in weight management!!

650 seems about right, this thing is probably close to 2.5T with 3 dudes in it 😂 im actually impressed how well it did for the first half of the lap it seemed to rotate quite well off throttle until the tyres got hot but once the brakes and tyres got hot you could really see the understeer and lack of confidence it gives. Not bad for an autobahn car

Hahaha - that's not a track car by any means. It's a highway cruiser. All weather sedan. Not to mention it's loaded with 3 big dudes... that's a lot of weight there between car and cargo! It also seems to really fall out of the power band with each upshift.

This car does not belong to the RIng let' be honest. All the "S" products are very quick back road and highway cars. In the low speed corners you can see the Astra OPC matching it in speed only lacking in straight line performance. 2-tone boat with lots of hp. Still an incredible all-rounder for what it's designed to do.
