This is how you depict your enemy being defeated in a way that glorifies you but also pay respect to your enemy. The Germans were killing the Russians in hand to hand and with guns too even if not as much, as opposed to the pure propaganda piece where your soldiers are superman and you never lose a man and 3 would take on an army like this. This is the way a lot of American movies do aswell(We were Soldiers, Wind talkers, American soldiers get killed in those movies even if they usually win the battle), as opposed to the pure propaganda piece, like something you'd see in a Chinese anti-Japanese propaganda film of today. With that said, Yes, this movie is pro-Russian propaganda as many have said, but it also pays respect to the Germans better than most films that caricaturize them as demons, also as many have said.

General German loses against Soviet were 1:5 during the war 1941-45, average AND 1:22 at the Summer of 1941. The question is: WHY they should seek opportunities to fight against Russians hand to hand??? The same Americans if they had the superior fire power , then they should avoid hand to hand battle.

4:10 i can tell you that there is no way that this german soldier didn't hit the russian with his bayonet. That scene where the Russian jump is pure propaganda

He was aiming at a bratwurst that some kamaraden had accidentally thrown away??
@lalocandadelmistero3 жыл бұрын
@@robertomoccia8305 Assolutamente vero ...
@robertomoccia83053 жыл бұрын

Too bad the truth is that the Russians poured untrained peasants by the hundreds of thousands into Stalingrad to defeat the Germans through attrition. This movie is about as historically accurate as Harry Potter movies.

Wow this propaganda is shit. It is confirmed from accounts on both sides of the war that the Germans were generally better fighters at long range and hand to hand combat, whereas soviets were good at short range gun fighting due to a larger number of Submachineguns among the ranks.
