I agree with you, buddy, GTA san Andreas had the best fighting in all GTA games. It was a revolution in terms of combat in the GTA series. You could learn taekwondo, boxing and kickboxing, which all had different mechanics and damages on the npc’s... Gta 4 fighting was very good too, because Niko could use combos of punches, kicks, headbutts and knee kicks on his opponents. In GTA 5, the characters don’t even know how to make a punch correctly. I mean, come on, it is quite limited to a right punch, a kick, and a combo of slaps... The characters don’t even know how to protect themselves from their opponents ! They just put their hands down instead of raising them up to protect their face... Hope this will be corrected in GTA 6...

1 - GTA IV 2 - GTA SA 3 - GTA VCS These are my favourites. VCS was the first GTA i played, man, the combat system was cool, Grappling, Throws, Punching from Grappling, Grab from behind, Break neck, the only bad thing is that doesn't have counters like GTA 4. And Gta San Andreas, i really like the gyms and different styles we can use, Boxing, Kickboxing and Kung fu.

In GTA 4 you could actually Bob and weave punches and then counter. Combine that with the ragdoll physics, the combat looked brutal. My personal pic 😌 Plus: Niko flipping knew martial arts. So damn cool.

Claude is a great fighter since it was said he knows krav maga and taekwondo, and Vic Vance and Niko Bellic are great fighters since they were both in the military and had ton of martial arts training, Niko was in the Serbia army and fought during the Yugoslavia wars while Vic was in the US Army, Trevor can also perform unique K.O moves if you turn on his rage ability.

Fun fact : Did you know in GTA Vice City Stories you can use X to attack. If you grab the NPC and press X, Vic will punch then so hard that they will fall onto the ground. Also you can target an NPC and press X. When you press it vic will do different types of attacks and stuff. Also if you grab from behind. Press X and vic will knee the NPCs back. I knew this today (i learnt it basically). So if you want more information about GTA well.. Come to me. I know some stuff
