Fighting livestock theft in South Africa

CLS is proud to accompany South African farmers, in their adoption of new space technologies in one of its key economic sectors, Agriculture.
60% of South Africa's land area is suitable for livestock farming which could contribute significantly to food security across the region.
In the face of one of it's biggest challenges, livestock theft, South Africa is currently testing satellite tracking as a means for farmers to track their herds and be alerted if their cattle has left a defined area.
