I’m enjoying the story. However having ridden horses for many years, people when riding double no one sits in front of the saddle horn on the horse’s neck. The neck is not strong enough to support a rider. One rider sits in the saddle and the other behind the saddle.

I come really close to stopping at the first couple chapters because of reality. First, riding double on horseback NO rider ever ever sets in front of the saddle. Further into the story there was the helmet an 4 wheeler.. None of us ride with helmets. The pulling the breach calf would be done with pullers after they tried to turn it and before we would loose a cow we will cut the calf out piece by piece if necessary. That's 1200 for a 2 -300 dollar calf that was if he made it because chances are it would be dead. I went ahead and listened and it was a very good story tear jerking at times but good

Story sounded like something I would like to listen to..... but I couldn't get past the accent. To regions beyond a particular accent... a "little goes a long way"

It was nearly unbearable listening to this book, the person reading. People from Montana do not speak with the accent she was projecting, I’m not sure what accent she was attempting to speak, hillbilly or backwoods. 😅
