Another interesting interview, with a good amount of humour. I remember how wonderful it was to visit the Forces Canteens, those Rhodesian ladies were angels.

I also spent some time on the Zambian side at Chirundu bit before this time and had a BAE Rapier SAM site about 100 yard behind my house, nervous times. I aslo was the only person who crossed Zambia to Rhodesia for some time to facilitate South African goods for Zambian mines. Every visit to the Rhodesia side meant an informal talk with special branch on developments in Zambia. Again, innteresting times.

I wonder if Jock remembers me Brian Pirie we worked at Field's together and also shared a lift club. He had an Alfa and drove like a lunatic. I had a Datsun 1600.

Ant White, Selous Scouts, was also suspected of having been involved with the assassination of Palma. He was later exonerated by the Swedish authorities. Last I heard, Ant was living on a beautiful piece of ground South of Caia in Moz.

Mangwanani from the USA......! Oh boy.... new podcast to listen to. It would also be interesting to hear the accounts from some of the many African soldiers who had served as Rhodesians. Unfortunately I'm sure that many of them have perished under the iron fist of Mugabe and the plight of what has become the basket case known as Zimbabwe. But boy would that conversation be interesting. I'm sure getting in touch with the survivers would be difficult.

The majority just stayed in the new Zim Army...very few "perished". There are reunions from time to time in Bulawayo......
