Firstly, whenever I read about "a study," I immediately have a ton of questions. But basically, it's manipulative. Like the Twain quote about lies, damned lies and statistics. It reinforces a pre-existing bias. In this case, I read this as "men who can't take care of themselves will turn to their daughters to do what their wives, and previously their mommies, did for them and benefit."
