I know that Hectique did something very similar to this for Calamity mod a few years ago and it was very laggy but it is possible even without any extra starting gear, the only problem with this idea is that hell needs to be separated by a layer of bubble blocks so that the game doesn’t lag severely and the world doesn’t get drained

Seeing you struggle to find specific biome chests reminds me of why I always mark each one the second I find them in pre-hardmode. What works best is to write the letter of the biome with torches, so that whenever you check your map, you’ll see a sizable yellow letter above the chest you’re looking for.

the spectre armor which heals may not be good in classic, but its a blessing in master mode, because you really need the healing there, it basically makes you invincible if you use stuff like razorblade typhoon and nebula blaze, and you can always switch it out for the damage helmet when you are full hp

In case you don't know, prismatic lacewings only spawn between 7:30 pm and 12:00 am. If you have difficulty finding one, a blood moon and water candle would help.

That was a fun playthrough to witness, thank you for making these videos :) There's a pretty simple 2-teleporter setup for Empress that may have worked - although it could also be really awkward, due to having to physically move into the portal, which is less instant than simply hitting a lever

The healing from the spectre hood is actually crazy. Every time I play, I make both the mask and the hood, then switch between them as needed. It's pretty easy to quickly open my inventory and right-click the helmet in my last hotbar slot.Mask most of the time, then hood when I'm getting low. As a support player I would love to leave the hood on forever, but the game actually prevents you from doing too much healing with it, so swapping it for the mask to let it "cool down" works perfectly. Both the healing and damage effects work even better with the specter staff - not sure why, but I think it's because the speed/damage ratio is perfect for it, 'cause weapons that are too fast won't spawn projectiles on every hit, and ones that are too slow won't make full use of it.

The healing spectre hood is really great to use against moon lord when the moon bite debuff isn't active, can swap it out for the damage one when you need it. Also I liked the editing :)

I had a very interesting idea... terraria without consumables. It wouldn't be a crossover playthrough, but still a VERY interesting one... this means anything that has the consumable tag in it's description. boss items are an exception, unless you want to wait for them to spawn on their own. (golem has to be summoned manually so...) but minus boss items, this means: no bombs no ammunition no buffs no mana potions! no healing potions! and most importantly no mana or life crystals Good luck!

My main gripe with Terraria has always been how much waiting there is in it. Die to EoC, Skeletron or the mechs? Wait until the next night. Die to Wall of Flesh? Wait until the Guide respawns. Die to Plantera? Wait until another bulb spawns. Die to Moon Lord? If you don't have the celestial sigil, kill Lunatic Cultist and do the Lunar Events again, which is arguably worse than waiting. I hope 1.4.4 addresses more of these issues, they're already on a good path with the Plantera bulb spawning.

Would you like to make a playtrough in stardew valley where you can only use starter tools? That means only rusty old sword given by Marlon, tools you start with, bamboo fishing pole and the first slingshot you get from mines, you wouldn't be able to achieve perfection or complete the comunity center, because you can't acces the secret woods, but you are allowed to use the chair bug to enter, also combat will be the hardest thing, fortunally ammo for slingshot and bombs don't count as tools since they are consumables and can be trashed/sold. It certanally is a difficult chalange and there may be more problems than the secret woods, but I would enjoy seeing this. (Also sorry for bad english)

It’s kinda surprising seeing you talk about all these weapons that you’ve never used before because mage is one of my favourite classes so I default to them a lot lol. Maybe a fun challenge run would be using more obscure weapons / accessories? It’ll shake things up from the status quo and maybe shine light on an underrated gem of a weapon. It would be hard to figure out what counts as “obscure” but I’m thinking weapons like the KO cannon, the hardmode ore swords / spears, blowpipe etc…

Here’s an idea for a playthrough: reference/collabs items only. You can only use weapons from collabs (i.e hambat) and reference items (i.e zapinator). Armor is up to you since the only collab armor is Old One’s Army. There are actually a ton of weapons like this, so hopefully it is not too easy.

If you're ever playing Mage setting the world evil to Crimson is ideal, as there you have weapons such as the Golden Shower (which is always useful from the second you get it until Endgame) and the Crimson Rod which is a pre-hardmode version of the Nimbus Rod, and like the Golden Shower it's always worth keeping just for a little bit more passive damage.

i love the whole thing about plantera and especially the way you spawn her, but they definitely should make it so that it spawns in the world from the start encased in a block you cant mine until you get to the drax or pickaxe axe, other bulbs can still spawn normally but one or two(large world) predetermined bulb shrines or something would be cool, like the lihzards place a hard to mine block around bulbs so that no one can spawn plantera, also would tie in with how she drops the temple key too. the only reason i think this would be better than having one spawn as soon as mechs are defeated is cause it could spawn anywhere in the jungle even in really bad places that are very out of the way far bottom edge of the jungle for instance.

While the moonlord fight was awesome, there is actually a way to cheese him using it (or normal portals) you set up an asphalt runway and reforge all your accessories to increase movement speed, then 2 walls on either side for your portals, then you simply keep running in one direction

Honestly, the portal gun should be a tool that can be found in early game instead of getting it after beating moonlord, since you will have probably infinite flight by then, you would probably pay no attention to the portal gun, however, in early game, the only wing you get is super bad, so a portal gun would be like great help

Recommendation from me: expert/master. You start at max health/mana and every time you die you have to remove one level of either. Easy until you’re down to red hearts and every death costs you 20 life

chalenge: boss rush, you are not allowed to go get items for bosses unless they are obtained from bosses or while getting boss spawner materials, otherwise you must avoid all chests, also you are not allowed to kill a boss more than 1 time, events must be played the second you can call them even if they don`t help, same applies to undefeated boss summon, and if you find a plantera bulb, vodoo doll or any boss spawner, you must spawn them as soon as you reach a place or time they can be spawned without getting spare summons. if the boss drops are materials, you are allowed to get crafting stations since it would get unfair at mech bosses starting tip: you might want to begin with brain of chutulu or eater of worlds since you can obtain up to 3 weapons and they drop armor materials

mage tip: craft both pieces of spectre headgear. use the offensive one with damaging orbs by default, and swap to the defensive one with healing orbs whenever you want to heal. easiest way to do it is to leep the headgear youre not using in yojr vanity slot
