Fighting the BEST Kung Lao in Mortal Kombat 1!

Man I wish they give Kung Lao back his low hat, spin, teleport and just take out Kung Lao kameo. I understand having Sub-Zero and Scorpion as kameos but Lao makes no sense. He deserves to use the hat much more with his toolset.

I’ve been saying to everybody and the thing is scorpion and subzero kameos don’t take any of their moves lol. And on top of that other characters capitalize on his kameo way better. They did my guy dirty in this game. We have to play so hard to stand a chance with kung Lao. People don’t understand that people who actually like kung Lao learn the character before they complain. Like whenever does anyone use that useless dropkick…they could have just given him windmill string

He has a spin and his hat toss you can make it go low

@@DREX0RSALT I thought it was obvious but I meant his classic spin, the one you can use as an anti-air and meterless combo extender. And the hat toss has lot of starting frames and is not consistently low based on distance. Also you can't delay it as you could in previous Kung Lao versions. The kameo version has that tools and doesn't make sense. Kameo roster should be secondary characters or characters that won't make it to base roster.

Opening a 47% combo from projectile with goro is so fun. Even though it's full kameo bar, it's kinda worth it since goro before the patch was still the best kameo for kung lao.

@@Skybar23 I don't think so, I'm not a Lao specialist but I think it has only one hit of armor, so no its not gonna armor break anything, it's just intended to quickly interrupt stuff, it's a defensive tool

Nice vid Xombat! Tbh... I kind of hate khamelion. I feel like they were worried about her being bad so they gave her some of the strongest neutral checks in the game with super fast cooldowns. I personally dont find her to be any fun to use with the constant switching dictating how you have to play around her, and getting constantly checked at full/midscreen with super fast full combo starters with no cooldown is really annoying. Its like fighting sareena/frost if they were always off cooldown. Ik im in the minority and everyone loves her, but thats my personal thoughts.

Fr. Surprisingly while playing online I barely run into any Khamelion players, but when I do I have to always have to be checking their Kameo bar and play on THEIR terms. I normally like to jump in on opportunities as an opening but Maliena assist is an anti air, I could zone them out but a projectile into Katana is a full combo or Jade could make them invincible. It's like making me work twice as hard to play the neutral. Idk if this is a skill issue or actual issue people have though.

Lao overhead hat needs to be safe . & the forward double Kick no one uses has way to much recover wayy to little push back & you get a full Combo but it’s never gonna be worth the risk with that terrible range

I have said this again.. MK1 deliberately cheated Kunglao. 3 key skills of his special moves were removed … while other fighters kept there’s… is so annoying , no spin while in combo, orbiting hat or teleport how is that a kunglao? Is rubbish… thanks to MK X as I still play it is the best of kunglao. Many of us didn’t buy the rubbish
