I don't have the game myself but for anyone curious about this: Delta is a common symbol used (mostly in physics, but also elsewhere) to show rate of change in a system. Essentially instead of looking at the total number change, the game will actually display "the creep is dropping/rising by x amount every second".

Love that time lapse, the seismic charges sound, Tom's inner 40k commander coming out with the mass bombardment from orbit, love it! Also if I understand it correctly, the amount/height/volume of Creeper is measured as a numerical value, and Anticreep is literally just the negative version of that number. So when the Creeper reaches a certain height, it will start turning into Anticreep at its very peaks, as the number wraps back around to negative once it hits the limit. I'm pretty sure that's how it works, and what was happening here.

Yeah the emitter is about 660000 creep per second. 20k creep times 33 per second equals 660k per second

@@donovanmahan2901 exactly, there is a limit to how much creep can be placed. once the pillar becomes too tall it is no longer making more.. so the 600k per second is not realistic. This can be proven by the fact that when he changed it all to anti-creep he had more than 2.8 million anti creep, and by the time he nullified he still 1.6 million AC. The game time passed was about 75 seconds.. that's 1.2 million creep per 75 seconds, or 16000 per second. This is a 42x exaggeration. When the map was empty it was much closer. At the 20 second mark the creep is up to 1.33 million. That's 65,000 per second.. Still 1/10th the amount it's labeled.

Whenever a new Creeper World 4 video comes out, I like to check the name of the map and play it myself before watching the entire video. My solution here was a little less rocket intensive, but I did have to baby-sit it and it took longer to get through to the emitter. I just placed a damper on the emitter every 15-18 seconds (they last 20), and any spare rocketry I had left was occasionally put in conversions and rains. Took a while and I had to keep close attention to the time, but it worked damn well. The total conversion strat is way more effective, but there's just so much passive time waiting for enough rocketry.

Yes, angory do really be searching out the worst regular maps out there. It's like a gift at this point. Unless they have a twitch account, that could also explain everything because of twitch going to recommend the most tedious maps ever.

So many games are designed around the 'idea' of strategy, and yet they were so ham fisted in the execution, you can be ham fisted in your response. Good to see one that thrives on strategy above brute force, making these maps silly, but fun to tackle

My understanding is: Cannons do deal more DPS. But mortars are more energy efficient and cam hit from longer range.

Berthas would be insanely useful in destroying the creep. Big Berthas use lots of energy but do massive damage like they are mini nukes.

berthas with both ern portal upgrades and ern held, is about 4.1 k dps. highest dps unit in the game, next closest is airship at like 1.2k

I was going to wonder how they got past the bug where if you spawn too much creep at once it becomes anti creep, but I see they didn't at all lol

Too much creep becomes anti-creep? Ah, so anti-creep is literally a negative amount of creep in the code, and we've got a wrap-around bug? If that's really how it's coded, that's a really elegant solution - a single integer to keep track of both creep and anti-creep, where positive numbers are creep and negative numbers are anti-creep (and the trick with that is all you have to do is add it up, when they collide). But the one problem with it is that, yeah, if you go beyond the max positive integer, it wraps around to the max negative integer - so too much creep suddenly turns into tons of anti-creep.

@@klaxoncow It's most easily obvious when you play a PAC mac and you buff a stash a couple times, it is interesting that here the output of creep was still clearly higher for a lot of it, though Tom didn't have the delta showing so that's just a guess, but it could maybe wrap back around to creep at a high level

It might seem impossible but you can use conventional weapons like mortar's and cannons. It is also faster too. Good job for pulling that off its obviously near impossible to do this any way but you did it good job!

for future, you might have beaten it easier if you used damper orbitals cause it stops creep flow, making it stack up and your rain will then be more effective

I think there is a "creeper cap" that limits how much creep can exist on the map at once, but also when you have only 1 creep, adding 20,000 creep is a 20,000% increase, but when you have 20,000 creep, it's only a 100% increase, which is proportionately much smaller. While it might be adding the same amount per second, the rate that it increases over time gets smaller and smaller the more creep you have

motors are good for taking out areas with large creep area, cannons are really good for a front defense / offense line, i always back up cannons with motors
