This is why I stick with one engine builder, Scott and crew at PAR Racing in South Carolina and before moving south Ultra Tech Racing in Mishawaka, Indiana. They both make things happen and they both keep common rods, pistons, cranks, and all that on the shelf. And they do block repair in house cnc heads in house and no BS wait. They are straight up and well know and win a lot.

That shop is one of those places that takes on waaayy more work than they can handle just to get your stuff in the door… and then they do the “squeaky wheel gets the grease” crap… whoever calls the most bugging them., then they’ll pull your block, bore it and screw honing it set it back in the corner so they can say they are working on it.

Never got the sleeve! and honestly there’s no way they couldve measured the sleeve, the counter bore, register, or outside diameter because the sleeves still in the block

You need to find someone with the BHJ oring tool and the big block deck plate. I have both but I'm in Florida. Bob McVay has the oring tool just not sure about the big block deck plate. So I'd check with Bob and Kevin at TKM for the oring/hoop in the head.

I agree I don’t know how big of engine builder he is or who this guy builds engines for but to screw Nick and if Nick was to put his name out there, I would say shame on that engine builder because he would probably have some people knocking on his door as much as Nick is liked and as much as he does for other especially at the track when they’re in need of something

You need to find a dependable machine shop to do your work ( but you already know that). You do a pretty good job racing for being a one man band. Have you ever thought about joining a group of racers like Turbo John has? Just a thought.

Why don't you take your engine to TKM I guarantee it will not sit like the other shops Kevin and Cornbread keep them engines moving in and out of the shop plus they have some of the fastest cars in the country running their engines!
