MMA king Rory is a really good guy. I used to train at Toshido in Kelowna BC years ago. Rory's original gym. He was a quiet , sponge willing to do whatever it takes in all areas of his game even back when he was 15 , 16 yrs old. TriStar couldn't be a better place for him and his attitude. His work ethic is impeccable

Considering Coach & Georges are 2 of my 5 favorite people in the world, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's never been my style to be fanatical or to idolize another person but my admiration for Coach & Georges is profound. The fact that they're best friends and a team is even furthermore extraordinary, till you understand them, then it's plain as day. I just don't find people that I appreciate and admire so adamantly and completely, much less two acquaintances. To hear Georges speak of his unwavering trust in Coach, is something that I find very endearing and wholeheartedly understand. I've listened to Coach for ours and have come to realize I simply cannot think of a time that I disagreed with him regarding a philosophical point of view, or idea of something, etc., save one, which I will reserve specifically mentioning, as it was somewhat meaningless, it was his idea on a certain match up. I MUST get to Tristar, I have this recurring deep seated feeling of having basically wasted my whole life. My intelligence, my athleticism, my eagerness to learn, my overall abilities, I've wasted them all. It sucks to think too much on so I try not to, just enough to motivate me. I don't mean to be braggadoscious, it's just that I was taught to logically and sensibly recognize my worth by my mother but to also be humble about it. I fear I didn't recognize my worth or my potentials till much too late in life. For me it's not mostly about what I could've been but rather fully exploring my capabilities. My boundaries of mental and physical capabilities and the melding of the two. If I can just get to Tristar before I get too much older, I can maybe stop this unfathomable feeling of wasting away..... I will make it happen! "The cup is neither half full nor half empty. The cup is at half its capacity." ❤ "I think when you cross examine your fears, you'll find a lot of times they're not so big and scary" ❤ "I feel very confident to have Firas on my side." ❤ IMHO True Martial Arts and wisdom go hand in hand. They're both a journey from which you never arrive but moreso are rather receiving of, mind, heart, body, and soul. Awesome little documentary FN, Thank you!

Mike Hunt Me too , when I'm smacking pads backstage and Marshie my coach is going over the plan I'm all nerves but when I'm stood at the top of the steps and my music starts I'm oddly very calm. But the week leading up to it I can't sleep or concentrate on anything and I'm only a low level amateur fighting in nightclubs and leaisure centres. It must be so crazy for a pro!

What is that punch that GSP does at 11:08? He starts from an orthodox stance, feints a right cross, throws the jab while cutting an angle. What is that called? I like it.

Georges uses these angles/ switch angles/ combinations a few different ways. Like Marshil indicated, this is the superman jab/punch. You'll also see Georges throw the cross through one angle, then chop with a leg kick through the opposite angle. Personally, I don't refer to these exiting directions as angling out but rather angling through. A good example of angling out would be Tony Ferguson vs Abel Trujillo. Georges used these movements against Matt Hughes if I remember right... Got him good with that cross step through leg kick. It's tricky 👍
