'I'm not around here..' - Refers to Shinji Ikari in the series, when he first shows up from parts unknown. The whole song is basically Shinji's story, if you're familiar with Neon Genesis it almost goes through the whole thing.

@chenalos That's true. From what I heard they were fans of the anime and this song makes a bunch references like "Some things don't change." Which described how much Shinji hated everything and wanted to change everything and "Let's start this all over again.".
