Carlan Gracie on Modern BJJ, MMA and more!

This is my interview with Carlan Gracie, a Judo and BJJ Black Belt and a member of the legendary Gracie clan. Carlan now teaches BJJ in Brazil and teaches online. He was in the MMA Community in the NHB era even before the UFC. He also talks about "fake" Gracie's and why he actually didn't do MMA under the Gracie name. He now lives in the Rocinha neighborhood, known as a Favela in Rio De Jinero, Brazil. He gives personal tours of the area, available at the bottom of the description. He is involved in the charity "Kimonos for Kids" that raises money to help children buy gis. One of the nicest guys I have met in the Martial Arts Community!

Hello everyone..Renzo is a cousin, my father is cousins to the original 5 Gracies that received the art from Konde Koma..My father is cousins to Helio, Jorge, Gastao, Oswaldo and Carlos..Renzo is about 50 yrs old. im 61..I love Renzo, always smiling. He lives in New York City. I visited his school as a blue belt back in 1994.
