I'm proud of you I had a monster step Dad who beat my Mom and I finally stood up to him. I was always on my bike in my teen years just so I didn't have to be home I loved my Mom but hated Jim!! At dinner all the food had to be by him my Mom served him first you should have seen the look's he gave me because I loved mixing corn with my mashed potatoes and eat them with a spoon lol when I drove he made me record the miles at the gas station the price for gas everything. The day my Mom found out he was cheating on her was the best day we packed his shit and he was gone the one day I stood up to him he chased me upstairs I shut and locked my door he threw his fist threw the door and my Mom said if you lay a finger on me I will have Steve kill you my real Dad who cheated on my Mom and cheated on his second wife to the end of his life that's another story in itself. So reading your story and all these stories people don't understand until they lived it I have stories that would leave your mouth hanging well Jim died last year and he was judged by my Father in Heaven and I know God took care of it 😉

The lesson is that there are millions of BOYS that are trafficked and abused just like girls so acting like it’s one or the other is naive and ridiculous. And nearly every time you have a man carrying out abuse there are WOMEN that know about it and either keep quiet or even help get more victims. Humans are evil, stop acting like one gender is made up of victims when reality proves that’s just not true.

I’ve read comments blaming Julie for “choosing” this man to marry. What they don’t realize is that many girls are taught that they are, “ruined” if they allow a boy/man to have sex with them prior to marriage. When she said, “I just wanted to be a good girl.” It ripped my heart out, as I too came from a very conservative home where having sexual relationships prior to marriage made one unworthy to be married.! “You are now ruined and no one else will ever want you!!” This young woman expressed exactly that! She had to marry him because she had been giving herself to him. Please be kind… if you don’t understand this mindset be thankful and don’t judge those who have lived it… she also talked about how those in their “ community “ would look down on him if she told they had participated in premarital sex. Again, all of this points to her naivety and being brought up in a very male dominated religious sect where girls are property.

The whole idea that she was appalled at her husbands pedophilac misogynistic behavior afraid about her “non- virgin” status with him at 16 is so bizarre considering she was forced to participate in that behavior since birth with her own pedoohile rapist father. It goes to show you the personality splitting and compartmentalization that goes on for anyone and especially children being sexual abused. The patterns continue and make zero sense but it’s a survival mechanism that exacerbates the continuation of the cycle of abuse.
@yeetnama9094
@yeetnama9094 Жыл бұрын
Honestly I think we as a society need to hold pedophiles and abusers much more accountable with VERY harsh punishments, but ALSO: women need to be held to a higher standard about whom they choose to procreate with. The CHILDREN in this story are basically an afterthought as we all fall over ourselves feeling pity for the grown woman who DID make active choices to expose vulnerable children to an abusive monster. At some point children need to be considered here in this whole culture of abusers/victims/domestic violence conversations . If I were her child, it would be extremely difficult to forgive her.

(Disclaimer: This is in no way meant as justification of evil things people had their own choice in. But the better we understand something, the more chance we have to defeat it.) The sad reality is they often went through similar horrors in their life and developed this behavior as a coping mechanism for their suffering. At the same time they'd been allowed very few opportunity to develop themselves in a healthy way. To make things worse, some victims cope with this trauma by maximizing their control over others, developing into an unstoppable "hunger" for it, lacking the ability or strength to find others ways to get out of the trap they keep digging deeper instead. Some people manage to break this vicious circle, but many times it's passed from one generation to the other.
@Charity-vm4bt

@@B0K1T0Yes, victims need to find ways to mature and take responsibility, such as using psychology and possibly some type of spirituality. Its not just you with the victim stamp. People who are raped and/ or sexually assaulted are way more likely to be assaulted sexually and physically a second time by a different individual. There are studies on this with various theories as to why. I think the biggest reason is because there are way more creeps out there than anyone realizes but perhaps victims tend to be more forgiving and more empathetic to others so when they cross certain boundaries they are forgiven and seen as more than just their bad behaviour. You would think it would be the opposite and that prior victims would have their guard up and be on alert at all times but they seem to be more tolerant than others.

Psycho sexuality of different experiences needs to be discussed more. Me as a daddy issues survivor I call it… I’ve been and still on a journey on understanding this. I’m a luckier one. Many live in cycles not understanding.

The only thing that wipes away our past, hurt, and shame, is turning to Jesus Christ. The Bible says that He took our place on the cross and that if we turn and repent to Jesus and believe in Him, we will be saved.

I'd like to have seen those videos used against her abuser. And what about her father who ruined her? What about her daughter? What all happened when she couldn't protect her?

Her 4yo little girl voice is a dead giveaway that screams abuse victim. Dr. Drew always said the vocals freeze at the time of the first abuse. Sure enough here in this case. SO GLAD she put his ass in jail.

This is y children get repeatedly abused, others who could have helped don't, but oh my does God let them know what they did?Onlty they can examine their countious, or the lack of one, surely that type of guilt will eventually eat them up.

We are allways the victim. People do not grasp that and think WE are toxic and so on. You are 100% correct. Those people see it and are picking you, so all your life you get in shite situations. There was even a study about it.

Her father damaged her and normalized then behavior. Then let her abuser boyfriend move in and stay? Then she stayed with that person? Wow. Set your standard high and leave. Move out and leave. Don’t ever feel stuck. Move out and don’t tell anyone. Don’t secretly and have a plan. No abuse is acceptable. Period.

She didn't realize it was abuse. They also hid the abuse. These people need a place to go. There are shelters for abused women you can go to. They will help you rebuild your life.

If that is all she has known, she does not know how to get out. Everyone has a different response to trauma. They say it takes an average of 7 times before a domestic violence victim finally leaves for good.
