And visa versa I guess. I'm coming from years of using XD and I'm trying to adopt to Figma cause it's the chosen tool in another project. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I sure miss the speed of XD and the actual prototyping features that I think exceeds what's possible in Figma. I'm talking about imitating UI functionality and interaction patterns etc. Figma is lacking behind in that department. I'm used to prototyping animations, UI components etc to demo functionality. With Figma I observe that the team designers don't actually choose to prototype, they make static UI "stills" so to speak and I think that they do that cause the options for anything else is sparse at best. That's a petty cause I enjoy Figma's collaboration features, that's the main strength of this application. To become something more Figma needs to better their prototyping tools. It's crucial to be able to demo stuff in an authentic manner for user tests and more. When I'm designing a loader or pre-loader for instance, the max and min duration and action is key to test it on users. In Figma it's alot of linking static frames together. In XD it's a matter of prototyping on a more dynamic level. I also enjoy the Adobe echo system, seamlessly joining industry leading applications like PS, Illu, XD etc together. It's powerful.

@@Sketch_Sesh Fireworks? That was an application that Adobe got when they bought Macromedia back in 2004 in order to control the swf format. In the same process they got Dreamweaver and other MM tools. But you need to become updated. That's many years ago. XD has since 2013 been the Adobe UI design editor. Like I write in my post the Adobe echo system is seamlessly joining industry leading applications like PS, Illu, XD etc together. Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) is a set of applications and services from Adobe Inc. that gives subscribers access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, along with a set of mobile applications and also some optional cloud services.

Jesse. In Figma when you're 'selecting' or 'dragging over' a selection and it's auto-resizing to what you selected... how are you getting it to do that?

Actually, before Figma established these feature my team and I used to Miro which it was great, but Figma can really handle all we need! So are any reason to use Miro !?

Man I miss the easier days of collab design sessions with sharpies and 11x17 pieces of paper. Sketching quickly with the mouse doesn’t cut it. And it’s not fair/democratic if I use my graphics tablet while others struggle with their mouse. Thinking of experimenting with having a little tray of a minimalist set of components and patterns imported from a Figma doc in one area of the FigJam. Then participants can just option drag to duplicate and then double click to edit button text, headings, menus, forms, etc.
