This Figma No. 571 Jujutsu Kaisen Kento Nanami Action Figure by Good Smile Company is one to discuss for sure. This is the first time I have been so on the fence about an action figure in quite some time. I like it, but it has quite a few things that I dislike about it as well. While the look of the figure is decent, the accessories are great and even the height is on point, there are so many things that are just OFF. The lack of paint for one. This figure could’ve really benefited from some shading. The joints also DEFINITELY need to be tighter. Loose joints on an $80 figure is unacceptable. I also wish the aesthetics were better, but that’s a personal nitpick I suppose. Overall it’s a “decent” figure at best, but I do think it’s worth adding to your collection. Update: the more and more you mess with this figure, the more it falls apart. The loose joints are extremely annoying and when posing him around absolutely NOTHING will stay together. He might look good, but the composition is a mess. Stay away from this figure at all costs unless you plan on doing nothing more than standing him on your shelf. #PrayForSHFiguarts

Hey Animated Heroes, I have seen 3 collectors take the Gojo body & made this figure much better. I promise a 5 outta 10 was too much 😂 this figure has a 3 outta 10. Then Figma still doing the drop down legs! Just like my inumaki figure. I promise if S.H. Figuarts made those figures I wouldn't never buy A Figma. Great Video, Bad Figure.

I think figma updated the fig, as my Nanami comes with a ball peg torso, so it no longer comes off easily.

I'm just not sure how the package indicates that it's the new version so I'd recommend you to try to peek into the box to see if the spare torso has a ball peg or if you're in store try asking the owner to open so you can inspect! If it helps, I got my fig last October so maybe any releases from that time onwards is the updated version.

12:52 nanamis cursed technique is quite simple once you really think about it. it allows him to see his opponent on a line, and can make a weak spot on said opponent on the ratio point 7 to 3, he can apply it to any part of the body.

Aw man I was hoping there was no torso problem in this review. In the Figma official site, you can see the credits for each figure, sculptor, manufacturer etc. Nanami has a different one that the others, I think that might be it, all the past jjk releases have been perfect imo, hope Yuta and the others to come do better /: Still happy how great he looks with the other figma, waiting for mine.

Dude idk if most reviewers got a bad figure (which is still Figma's fault for QC) but the Nanami I got is pretty solid, legs can be a bit tighter but they don't wobble, and the torso actually has a bit of a resistance when you take it off, doesnt pop off on its own. Was a bit wary cause a lot of reviewers showed the bad quality of this figure, but bit the bullet cause it was on sale in my country which brought it down to about SHF price. Got lucky i guess but yea, he's not bad if you get one that works as it was intended to. UPDATE: after rewatching the reviews, their Nanami's came with a peg for the torso, my figure comes with a ball peg, so i think Figma updated this in order to fix the loseness.

I'm really annoyed because the accessories are on point, EXCEPT that they don't include a fist with the tie wrapped around his hand. I would have rather gotten a fist instead of an open hand, I think it's much cooler to display him attacking than just preparing to attack by wrapping the tie around his hand. Also, I have no idea how there could be such a big QC issue, but even though its hard plastic, the back of my figure is warped, so it caves inwards in a weird place when its supposed to be straight.

It looks like that waist peg should be longer to hold the figure better. I personally don't like Figma joints. I buy them very seldom. The price point is too high for my tastes. The sculpt and paint are very good but the articulation leaves a lot to be desired in many cases. It's my experience that female fingers get better construction than the male figures by Figma. I don't mind a glossy finish on a figure so my mileage varies on aesthetics.

@@leebreath2425 I totally agree with your assessment. The universal nature of Figma joints isn't a selling point for me. I don't see myself kit-bashing 2 or more $100 figures to make a new one. Of course, this is an assumption on my part. I believe a ball peg waist would have been superior

You should watch the newer Dk Guillotines review on nanami, he says to super glue down the peg thingy which will kind of sacrifice some lower movability, and some kikis on the legs or something for loose joints, he explains it way better I suggest giving it a watch if you haven’t found a fix

The problem with figma is they had brilliant figures for their time, but figma is still stuck in 2016 when they were really popping off and they haven’t really moved on from it. A lot of the figures from 2016 haven’t aged all that well articulation wise especially now that there’s anime heroes, SHF, marvel legends, model kits have been doing better recently, revoltech has upped their game too with Spider-Man and more that are more affordable and exceptions like revoltech and mafex that are pricey but give you better articulation and quality figma is obviously just losing. Especially with SHF taking a bunch of IPs like dragonball, one piece, Naruto, bleach, berserk(frl stole it from figma 💀 the figures look better too), chainsaw man, jjk(they’ve been beating figma too with it) and even yugioh. Not only this but they’re releasing all of these fast as fuck every other day new announcements of figures are just being released, and NOT ONLY that a lot of these figures are cheap and affordable. Figma cannot even compare anymore to the competition and they can’t even keep up with the release dates because every time they announce a figure SHF has most likely already made it like SHF made a better articulated yuta that’s cheaper too and figma just released a figma yuta double the price of the SHF one and a lot of people are flocking towards the SHF yuta.

I think if Figma took on Geto, they'd have the decency to make him a cloth robe instead of big plastic sleeves. Their Nobara is better than SHF's for this reason alone, so don't count out Figma entirely.

i doubt it, none of their demon slayer figures have cloth robes so idrk if there's precedent for them doing that. they probably only did it on nobara so they wouldn't have to worry about it obstructing articulation. willing to be proven wrong but the demon slayer line just doesn't give me much hope for it.
