Another reason why the weathering would be more apparent with Rex is that his armor is also older than the other clones. When all the others went to phase 2 armor Rex kept his phase 1 and modified it!

I ordered mine in July from Sideshow and just got an email saying that it might ship in December instead of October, hope that is not the case. But after seeing this and other people’s in hand shots of him I am super hyped to get him and have him with my Cody and 501st trooper. Side note, Cody did come with the DC17 blaster pistols that Rex has.

I ordered day one, and got the same email. It just says there’s a chance he can ship in October, but he’ll ship between October and December. The window only increased by a month. It was October-Nov before the emails

@@aqwblue275 Captain Rex was suppose to be my only hot toys, but I finally bought a 501st deluxe. But it was not enough, so I found a brand new hot toys commander cody for about 380 USD on a Canadian website (tax and shipping included) I don't know if it was a good deal, but i'm happy with it. So yeah, i'm pretty exited for Rex also :D

@@canadium1478 that’s a great price for a cody. Rex was my first hot toys figure ever as well. He was the first figure I ever ordered and paid for. Been waiting for him to ship since his announcement. Ironically since then I’ve built up a massive collection and I love every figure I have. So for me rex will be the crown jewel the reason I got into this hobby and most likely the last figure standing if I ever left the hobby.

It is in fact the case. When these figures get released in Hong Kong, Sideshow usually gets them 1-2 months later. So November-December sounds about right.

I got mine last week. Overall, it's great, but I have a few gripes. I wish the holsters didn't dangle so loosely, and that the pistols secured into place (rather than just relying on gravity to keep them in the holsters). Also, that shoulder pauldron limits the articulation of his left shoulder and head. Would have been nice if it was made of a slightly pliable material. Finally, the skintone of the headsculpt is a little light (although I suppose he might be palid from wearing a helmet all the time), and his hair colour is a bit too subtle. (And yes, the collapsible stock on his blaster is too loose.)

I bought one for myself and one as a Christmas gift so as long as it arrives before then it’s fine. I have only things I dislike about it are the helmet, pauldron, and the lack of a dc-15a blaster rifle. Someone on Instagram designed realistic version of his helmet and it’s simply better looking. And those poses at the end were so, perfect.

Have him on pre order. I’d rather the whiter cleaner look on Rex as they did on Cody. Would have looked more uniform with the Hot Toys 501st figure. He looks too green on the white part of his armour. I think they went too far with the weathering. Nonetheless am stoked to be getting him.

Tbf Rex has been on many missions, he’s seen a lot of combat. Some of the reg 501st are clean in between and get dirty on the missions.

I don't think it is figure of the year contender. The head sculpt is phenomenal, and I think that it makes the price almost worth it. I think the armour sculpt looks great too. The paint apps on the arms and shoulders don't really make sense though? Why are there 2 stripes either side of the main stripe? In no media anywhere ever has rex been depicted as such. Also, if you're going to make the helmet look realistic, why does the top half not look anything like a Phase 1 helmet? it looks to be a mix of animated and realistic, which for some reason, really grinds my gears. Like, pick one. And then the paint apps on the pauldron look off too, like, the blue extends away from the raised areas, I think the black should be painted all the way to the raised areas of the pauldron (lol dunno if that makes sense. That makes it sound like I have various problems with the figure. I think on the whole, I like it, but there are just enough problems for me to say, unfortunately, no, it is not figure of the year :( I think that could actually go to the Coruscant guard. It looks utterly phenomenal, and completely ROTS screen accurate.
