Figure Rise Standard Dragon Ball Z Bardock
The latest release in the Figure Rise Standard Dragon Ball Z series, and probably one the best releases to date.
Figure Rise has really improved the sculpt work and proportions of this kit.
The head sculpts are excellent, probably the best so far. Articulation is just as good as any of the other release with some new and old parts mixed in that make for a very satisfying kit.

Speed build, proceeds to panel line and spray paint. I skipped to the end at first, and was like what black magic is Bandai pulling off this time with that built in shading and flat finish.

I do really hope there will be at least a proper S.H. Figuarts Bardock someday, but right now, the Dragon Stars Bardock and the Figure-Rise Standard Bardock are the only exception for a Bardock figure.

Is the paint job easy with the air brush? Do you recommend that vs just using the gundum pens?

I guess that depends on the final look you’re after. Markers are definitely easier but you’ll never get that gradation effect you get with an airbrush.

@@BCappOfficial Yeah, I've had it for a while now and it did cost a bit plus compressor but you can get some decent quality airbrush compressor sets now for a pretty reasonable price.

I just completed this and it was amazing. The only thing I cannot figure out is the rest of the spare parts for him. it comes with a whole second upper half which has no armor and i could not get it to attach to the bottom half. Is there a way to do that or are they to something else

What is the type of plastic used to make these? Does it feel like a cheap plastic or like an authentic figure?

Cheers mate! You should sand and prime, or one or the other. Makes the paint adhere a little better and prevents some paint from rubbing off but I didn’t.

Considering most of the figure rise arms are short this one looks great the arms don’t look exactly right but it’s definitely he best saiyan average body structure figure in this line
