If you're gonna use this, according to the people in the comments who actually tried it: -It's harder to skate on than ice -Spins are incredibly difficult -Edge jumps are possible, but toe jumps are NOT -Your blades become dull way more easily and you have to sharpen them more often -You can not get as deep of an edge on it -You probably want to get a cheaper pair of skates to use one it so you don't accidentally ruin your expensive ones.

I've tried a different brand of synthetic ice and it's a little different just because it's not actual ice. It has more of a grab to it and I feel like I'm skating through water. So because I'm skating on a slippery synthetic it just feels different.with all the ice rings closed for a little bit I did like skating on the synthetic ice. I can literally set it up in my apartment and skate at home so it's the best that I had. It definitely is different and I would recommend it.
