The project is looking great Steve. FYI, Radium has a nice 1 1/4" coupler which I used to replace the factory 'T' left over from the AuxRad delete. The rest of the coolant lines at the upper radiator looked good to me except for the 'T' which was failing. I opted for thr Radium product instead of replacing the entire hose assembly. It looks a bit bespoke now, not to mention cleaned up the connection too. -Cheers

That's nice to see that they are making more products. I wonder if this would be a good match with the Tweetler intake manifold. Matt definitely puts out some quality stuff. Still really enjoy your videos! Could you post a link to the intake hose? Is the vacuum line cap a part of a kit? I look forward to you finding your missing HP.

Probably the "best" overall naturally aspirated intake setup for these cars right now would be this intake, the larger ID MRP MAF, the Tweetler oversized throttle body with intake elbow, all funnelling into the Jackal/Tweetler ported manifold. In all fairness, my setup still isn't great because I need a larger catback system behind the downpipes.

@@FigureItAudi I have been looking at the 92mm intake from Jackal. But damn the price of it I can't justify. I would love to be able to piece it together on my own.

Yup, the B7 is definitely a "pay to play" platform. BTW the vacuum cap was a part of a kit from Princess Auto (link in description). I didn't find anything on Amazon that seemed to be of quality, and the ones I found locally was cheap + quality rubber. There's just too many questionable quality imported choices out there.

@@FigureItAudi Would you mind doing a temperature comparison from hot to cold side? I see that Matt has pictures of temps from hot to cold side. But my hot side is currently 175F vs the 138F posted this is with an ambient of 83F. I wonder if our hot summers will see a bigger benefit from a kit like this.

There is a guy named Basti in Germany that makes a custom-fitted connection from the passenger side air guide to the bottom of the airbox. I will try and find the details, but it's very nice. It may be worth considering if you want to go that route.

its 400 euros. i know the guy.

Nice videos, I am still contemplating on acquiring one of these again. I had one that my son gave me awhile back and it wasn't the best experience, long story short ended up selling it to a aftermarket auto lighting owner for cash ($8k). Now fast forward I see there is another one in way better shape and maintenance w/manual B7, its been sitting at the dealer for sometime guess nobody wants to acquire it, probably the price and being older manual as well. I was thinking if i did end up getting it, would like to have it delivered to Jackel for the Timing Chain work and many other mods while its broken down. This car would be a weekend or fun to drive not a daily as I have another SUV to use for that.

As time goes on, I'm positive the V8 S4 + RS4s will only continue to grow in popularity as people pine for the good old days of rowing gears in an AWD car that sounds unlike anything else that will be on the roads by then. Financially, I don't think these vehicles will ever be low maintenance but it's a driving experience that will simply not come from any other German platform. Matt will take good care of it if you decide to send it his way. Plan to spend a little extra at Jackal because of the tune and other goodies that will be irresistible :)

i got a question does a rs4 intake manifold bolt right up or will modifications be needed?
@FigureItAudi Жыл бұрын
Modifications - to put it lightly. It's really not an option at all. It's got a different set of interior flaps, different management on the front, different runner shapes, different port sizes; it's just not a thing for the S4. Get ported S4 manifold from Tweetler/Jackal instead.
@Heartbeat1991 Жыл бұрын
There’s zero chance of making that work.

Hey i was wondering what is the difference between the s4 engine and rs4 engine
@FigureItAudi Жыл бұрын
If you're looking for the specifics give it a google, but to squeeze out an extra 80HP out of the same block, there's just more air, more fuel and better quality components in the block and heads.

I’d like to have seen IAT comparisons.
