People may not agree with the character Numair’s reactions & response to his condition, but as author Samira Fazal has said , this fits into his personality as an average man . Men even those in the supposedly Liberal west find it very difficult if not impossible to openly discuss their feelings. In Pakistani society its an even bigger taboo, so while we nay not like his reaction it is what most men would do . What I cannot understand is the ad hominem personal attacks against Usman Mukhtar , who took on this incredibly difficult role & brought it so vividly to life. He is a good actor who unlike the majority has taken on tough roles instead of sticking to the usual cute hero . We should all be lauding his courage to take on such characters, otherwise rip authenticity & creativity & welcome to mov hysteria

Thanks a lot for this- I second everything that you said. People are so superficial. They don't want to think deeply - they just react . Had some other more popular actor played Numair, there would be a sea of fans trying to justify and fight for him. I also feel horrible about the unfair comments on Usman's looks, age and acting. He is a wonderful actor - he even made me want to like Aswad 😅 Like you said, he is a thoughtful and wonderful actor. Once again thanks 😊 Felt good after watching this.

This is one of those where even the popular critics are just not getting it at all. The recent episode was stretched and boring but Usman's acting is good and I don't think the people calling his character x,y,z have seen thsi drama closely. Its like people didn't see his scenes where he cries while praying because he is struggling internally. He just wanted to end this torture by getting a DNA test to put this topic to rest and he did it in hiding because he knew it would hurt Andaleeb. Andaleeb showed extreme immaturity by trying to commit suicide and did not even think about her young child for once.

Before Numairs secrete reveals, I was getting irritated why this character is so boring not reciprocating his wife’s love romantically. But afterwords we got the answers to many questions. Very well performed by Usman mukhtar , this is his best performance and he is perfectly suitable to the character. Not Sehars fans but all of them who was expecting Numair to be perfect all the time and who have other favourite dramas only criticising Numair . I like Sehar and Usmans performance in last episode. Andleeb is heart broken and Numair is in shock , different story line and interesting characters makes Jafaa special.

Our TV dramas are mostly followed by women so an average female mind can't understand male psychology plus the woke culture add to it thus the reaction. It is very insightful of Sameera Fazal to sort of try to get into that territory to at least have a conversation around. I have seen some men who kind of understood Numair through a male perspective. A significant portion of man's worth is often tied to his ability to procreate and if he fails in that he is a loser in the society and Numair is living with this baggage for quite some time. Coming to his character arc completely makes sense as he continuously tried to avert the topic of marriage and kids. When he got married he sort of pushed Deebu towards Moiz but she chose to stay with him. Then Numair's fear of not being masculine enough also created a performance anxiety in him which was very sensitively shown as well. And then when he gets the comment of not being a man enough from Moiz he clearly questions Deebu do you also think that again indicating his fears of not fulfilling the masculinity standards. It also created the fear in him that Deebu will left him and go towards Moiz which was also shown when he picks her up in the college when Deebu slapped Moiz and then she confesses into him and he was just shocked. Numair can't escape from his male psychology but he has always tried to utilize his masculinity in a positive way i.e protect a women in a crisis situation, protecting her from the stigma, encouraging her to realize her self worth and finally when his own trauma resurfaced he was constantly battling with his own emotions. It was very easy for him to clearly express his concerns to Deebu but he didn't and tried to put an end to his dilemma through DNA. One can't see this whole situation in a black and white lens, because all these 4 characters live in grey spectrum. It was very brave of Usman to pick up such a risky role because not a lot of leading actors would be comfortable to pick up a role like this!!

Great comment. Usman has always been very brave in his choices. Usman brings authenticity to the role by being bulky & nerdy. Older, crusty doc type men do not act like Danish Taimoor. Usman was authentic. It’s kind of telling how cruel people are to simply a CHARACTER portraying male infertility. Imagine what society does to them in real life…

they are not a perect couple in situation the marriiage happen , its Numair maturity that makes them to live togather and later living as a happy couple , he did DNA of baby for 100 % satisfaction of himself rather making a panic in family by discussing azospermia to every one even the girl like his wife who has a suicidal history,its human pshycology if ihe is not 100% satisfied he can think wronge any time in life so its for his mental heath is necessary too overall he is a human ,in life infuture if he see at any time his wife with his past boyfriend for whom she did suicide even for a moment bad thinking can come by this DNA they can live as very happy family , he will so satisfied

Numair’s performance required variations, Usmaan messed up by giving total 1 expression. He is good with stone face characters, in every show he picks one expression and gives it from first scene to last scene. Numair wasn’t supposed to be a one expression fella

Usmaan’s performance is literally the worst performance in 2024. He made an interesting character extremely boring. The open mouth he consistently had from 1st to last scene (no other expression) , I know Usmaan lacks range and is very stiff but wtf is this open mouth expression. Is he ill?
