So do I have to switch on the main batter first or have them both on? Run them both at the same time (on) or first use the main battery and the switch to other one ?

An additional battery effectively increases the driving range. In this respect, it works flawlessly. The issue remains with the appearance after installing it. In my opinion, it spoils the compact look of the C21 and makes it look very bulky. If we want to ride without the additional battery, there is no protection against moisture for the connection. It would be useful to have the option to mount this battery on the rear rack; a dedicated cable from the battery to the bike's plug would suffice, along with neatly routed cables and a mounting system for the rack.

Yes that was my issue too but I've gotten used to the RE now. It's not as nice as bottle design that's for sure.

Works well when you get on top of installation and operating procedure.
@Tinker1950Ай бұрын
@@philclint Their installation video is purposefully opaque on the manner of operating. It's very obviously a design afterthought. Looks like I might be forced to buy one though, the range, especially when pulling a trailer and two dogs is pitiful.

Hello, do you provide with the invoice the approval certificate which allows state subsidies (France)?

Does anyone know what the fourth cable in the extender battery box (the one with the black end) is for? Nobody talks about it in the installation video especially since there is the same cable on the main battery box of the Fiido C21 bike. What happens if you connect them to each other? Thank you in advance for your response.

#Fiido, where is the red plug for on the converter? And would you please respond to the question if you have to switch on the main battery first or have them both on. Or can you power them one by one? So use one first, shut it down and then power the other battery. Also, can you charge both battery on the bike at the same time if they are still connected?

I have the same questions so if Sowmown responds I'll be grateful.

@@marcinrozanski328 I asked Fiido directly and this is the respons. I also did it this way while biking today. Q: Do we first turn on the battery of the bike. Drive it until it is empty. Then turn that one off and turn the extender on? A: Yes, when the original battery is empty then the extension battery will work. Q: Or do we turn them both on? A: No. Q: Do we charge them one by one, so first the bike battery and then the extender. A: Yes. It needs to be charged independently. Q: Or is it possible to charge them both at the same time? A: No

@patrick1978maas draining the main battery empty is never a good idea if its lithium as it can confuse the system, so I'm told. I wait till its on red then switch on range extender.

This isnt the battery that was in first image of range extender on website. It was a battery in the shape of a bottle that looked far more appealing than this

This battery is a joke

Be careful, this battery will act as a power source and “charge” the main battery, killing the main battery even faster. This is a short lasting solution.

Thats not true once main battery is empty you can see on the display that it goes back to full charge so it works from extend

Bad engineering at most… this battery extender is a joke. Just skip it not buying the bike in first place

1. Actually you meant, 'bad engineering AT LEAST' - if you'd bothered to think. 2. If you have no intention of buying their bike, why make the mean comment at all.
