Timmy, hear me out, I know I'm a little bit late to the video BUT... the FW5 firmware got updated, and it just included a FULL 10 band parametric EQ, fully customizable with up to 3 custom profiles. You may wanna check it because, since you're just starting with your EQ project, you might as well include this TWS on it (since it doesn't require any additional hardware). I don't know of any other TWS that includes an EQ which allows this level of configuration, you can even input exact freq. gain, an Q values, you really gotta try it. Regards!

Hey Timmy! I need the best sub 100€/$ IEMs for playing mostly electronic drums (at home) and rehearsing with my band - we are playing a lot rock/indie/pop but we also use a lot of electronic drum sounds like 808 kicks, snappy snares and other electronic instruments for electronic/hiphop style genres like synth basses and stuff. I’d maybe also like to try a sub 50$/€ IEM, which one would you recommend in this range? I ordered the Moondrop Arias but I don’t like them that much. I miss the the seperation of bassdrum, snares, toms and cymbals. The sound is pleasingly warm but not so good for playing electronic drums imo. I also have the KZ ZS10 Pro, I like the seperation of the instruments, but they just sound bad overall compared to the Arias. Do you have any recommendations for me? THX!

While not really good for anything but gaming the VR P10s have finally solved my living room PC setup since headphones are irritating with glasses and a 20ft IEM cable would be interesting to say the least.

I think the biggest reason the T4 Plus is called that is because... They look like the old T4. Not going to lie, the old Tin IEM form factor is pretty neat so I might play around with them again next...

Hey Timmy, speaking of tws, I saw you put the Samsung Galaxy 2 pro really high on your ranking, in fact, it's ahead of the great og Dunu SA6. Is that for sound quality alone or are you considering all it's features? Because it's hard to imagine a tws sounding better than the SA6...

its genuinely well tuned. samsung also put in a great codec so it can run 24 bit 254kh at maximum iirc

It's not higher than SA6, it's the same "B+" grade. On the ranking, you can see SA6 has more details, but tuning wise Samsung are about on par with SA6, with treble being a slight win for Samsung. It's not better, just different form of great.

Quite good i owned one. Can drive almost every iem easy. But the app and connection isnt refined yet. Doesnt feel premium. Also the hook might not be comfortable to some type of ear they are stiff unlike cable where you can adjust the hook behind your ear. The hook is thick and stiff unadjustable.

Hey giz, i have a question, i want an endgame 1 and done iem, budget around $300 but id go up around $500 if it meant endgame,, i mainly game competitively, but play for fun too, listen to a lot of different genres of music and wear them 3-6 hrs a session. Any recommendations? Im looking at raptgo hook x hbb, dunu vulkan, xenns mangird top, blessings 2, but open to hear your recommendations and opinions, thank you!

FW5 uses the FiiO App on iOS and Android. Has no EQ etc. and the manual is under the foam insert inside a black cardboard folder. Easy to miss. Had them and returned then. Underwhelming :(

The FiiO control App does include a parametric EQ of 10 bands, highly customizable (allows precise inputs of frequency, gain and even Q values), better than its entry DAC/Amps (uBTR, BTR1, BTR3K and BTR5 does not include a PARAMETRIC EQ, just a simple EQ at best). You have to upgrade to the current firmware, but it works flawlessly on my iPhone 11.

the fw5 i didnt enjoy either after going back between the fokus h-anc granted might be a unfair comparison but yeah was alittle disappoint with the fw5 i enjoyed the bass but the over all texture of the sound i was like hmmm pass

Thanks , as always no love for fiio from your side. Nothing new, but forgot to mention that raised stronger bass is needed because tws is used outside and without active isolation it helps to balance frenquencies. As outside noise kills bass. Also it's v shaped tuned for fun use outside not for critical listening home and not for vocsl performances as you used. This type of tuning you love is not for outside casual walking or sport activities . So these are different products and needs to be tuned different and compared them according the same scale is not the best aproach. Actually as tws it is one of best sounding products right now for many people. Have you tested it outside?

There is a difference between just a lot of bass vs. a lot of good bass. If they were have the bass raise from 300hz instead it would sound much much cleaner. Vocals will be more realistic as well, not as muddy. And from that, they can boost the bass up a lot (Ex. Fatfreq Maestro Mini). Of course this hobby is subjective and we're both presenting our own subjective opinions. You're not wrong as much as I'm not wrong. Thanks for watching!

@@Gizaudio yes in audio hobby everything or most things are subjective and i understand you point and what you prefer as quality bass. That is not far from my preference. Ofcourse fiio have their own tuning and many likes it. It is as it is and i am happy that everyone can choose according their taste. Fiio bass really not so clean and separated from mids as many iems more " correctly" tuned but this is more negative from audiofile perspective. From usual user not so. And this is clear why fiio still tunes their iems and such tws not according good classic audiofile formula. At least i see like this. Also as usual these shortcomings could be corrected a little by using correct tips , eqs and sources. But agree that better then iems sounds right out of the box. So in conclusion, thank you for your point and reviews, you really give audio community big help, i only wanted to add these point to give wider perpective for anyone. At the end as always everytime better listen with your ears to find if iem really " this one" or not.;)

@@AbalMarius FiiO just implented an EQ within their app, it's 10 band and quite customizable. Try to boost the 30 - 40 Hz frequencies a few dB, while lowering the 150 and 230 Hz, you get to keep the bass and control the "muddiness".
