Change took place due to public demand. Majority people enjoyed latest type. If they didn't enjoy, they would leave as soon as latest started. But majority of the people stayed and listened to rubbish. It's today's rubbish people who changed. Qawals basically sang what public demanded. If they wouldn't they would run out of business. The qawals who didn't change pretty much got lost because no one really hired them.

@@nishashah1929 A good Qawwal must accept criticism. I have said he is unable to answer. If you understand the origin of Qawwali by Amir Khusro during Hazrat Nizamuddin Awliya's time and the tarteeb then you would accept what I said. Qawwali has certain etiquettes of its own and that's how mazhabi Qawwali should be sung. It's not about the saaz or taal but the delivery of content. I know his father used to sing Qawwali too but he knew the delivery.

@@nishashah1929 There is no vendetta against Sippu as he is a nice person. But it's a fact and in Qawwali Muqabla a qawwal must answer through his Shairi and qawwali and stay in track. For example if Qawwal A sings nath then in reply Qawwal B must sing nath. If Qawwal B sings Ashiqana then definitely he cannot answer and out of track. I hope you understand now and if someone doesn't point out then how can one improve.
