Fijians! I remember our high school coach in western kenya, showing us playback videos of fijian training and matches. We studied fijian game play like it was a compulsory subject. How to play against Fijians : Accept that it will be the hardest physical battle you might have faced, accept that they will run rings around you, smash them hard (legally), be smashed hard (legally), once the final whistle blows accept these warriors as the friends of rugby that they are and spend some time with them after the game. Nah bro, they perform very well in 15s. Just look at their players dominating in leagues around the world. If by falling short you mean them not getting fair rulings by the reffs (like tier 1 teams do) then most definitely, they do not get that. Just ask Paddy "paid to win" O'Brien. Officials of World rugby love to demonize the Pacific teams whilst letting others off the hook.

@@rexyhouser1872 Don't paint it any other way there has been questionable administration in the Fijian (Franky B), Samoan (More so the PM, Mr Malielagaoi with 20+ years in office and 'oh I don't know where that money has gone, I am too old') ... (Tonga more so in league with the board member v player issues). Agree that players are dominating around the world but just can't consistently put it together on the international stage and sure they have been villainized for being dirty players i.e. high shots but I think it is improving.. even with the rub of the green they all need better access to their players from clubs around the world and bigger professional player pools so they can improve continuously - It would be cool if more guys who were perhaps Aussie or Kiwi born with P.I heritage chose the islands, but I'm all for you chose who best represents you.

Unfair to have a 6'5 225 fijian that can run it straight with pace, balance, skill in sevens. Let alone about 8 in a squad at least in the sevens. Most importantly is the style. When fijians run the upper half of the body is one way while the lower half is pointing another direction that can throw you off. Afternoon touch, rugby (down) either in water or land,- skills. 4. Eating fresh food from farm, sea, river ( mai na were)- health. 5. Harsh corporal punishment- discipline. All in all this is how they become rugged and physical in the field while at the same time keeping the discipline.

A small nation producing amazing talent.. after Argentina came into the trinations they have grown so much.. Fiji will have amazing power given the same opportunity!! When playing the Wallabies I cringe to what they/Fiji can do.. power to them.. unsung talent starved of support and money like the bigger rugby nations..

Ok let me get this straight. Give Fiji an equivalent amount of financial support, infrastructure and management as the All blacks or Springboks and the Webb Ellis will definitely be in Fiji's coffer. The All Blacks, Springboks and Wallabies have players playing in their country in the super 15 franchise. Fijians on the other hand are all over the world and only get together two or three months before the world cup. No wonder they can't win the cup. The presence of no foreigner in their team compared to Fijians appearing in other teams like All Blacks and Wallabies is proof of their brilliance in the game. Give them money, infrastructure and a good management, then the rugby world will see a whole new level of rugby competition. New Zealand and Australia knows about this. This is a reason why their is no Fijian or Pacific team in the super 15. They need the status quo for their fame and money.

Let's be honest no one is trying to tackle these guys. Look at the size of their thighs and calf muscles and shoulders their very very dense people. It's basically like trying to take on a Volkswagen on your own not going to happen. These guys need to come to the state and try out for the NFL. WWE was trying to sign one of the younger guy because of his physique. But he told them no thanks fake fighting was not for him
