Sweet Darling Lyrics by George Fiji Veikoso We've been together a while And I don't mean to cramp your style Sometimes I wonder just how things happen this way And I'm just reminiscing of that one whole night we would spend You'd pick me up every morning And I'd just been through with the club I never thought that a girl could love a man this much I am overwhelmed and baby, I just can't thank you enough And I'm wondering oh, sweet darlin (Now tell me) What did I do to deserve you? (What did I do, babe?) What did I say to make your angel eyes turn my way? (If only I had) If only I had the world, I'd give it all to you, babe (Givin' it all, yeah) Now I'm about to leave for the road I'll take you with me in my heart And I really pray the Lord, my soul to keep And maybe just one request

It was 2004-2005 after which I left New Mexico for Hawaii.. endured almost a FUll year at sea... Almost unheard of, but... Was a wonderfully healing place for all that ailed me... I was turned on to Fiji.... GREAT, huh? He's an advocate against Domestic Violence.... Cudos! He would have concerts and then donate all the proceeds to domestic violence shelters such which are a pretty big thing on in Hawaii they have a large problem with methamphetamine out there they call it glass and there's a lot of domestic violence that it happens so crazy him and hope for him to be strengthened in his mission I believe he might have been in a certain of domestic violence at one time maybe incarcerated and then now realizes this is an inaccurate account please forgive me but his music nonetheless is amazing and helped heal my heart when I was in Hawaii recovering from the death of both parents a bad divorce loss of a vehicle lots of a husband and lots of many things but regaining myself my heart my mind my spirit my soul thank you

So this song came on playing at a Poké place I was ordering lunch at today. I had a very good server who overloaded my bowl with one of my many foods without me even asking him to load up more of said food. I seriously had hearts coming out of my eyes. And I had my favorite bubble tea with my meal. This song was just PERFECT and it started playing at the right time and nearly got me singing out loud LOL! It was also my very first time hearing it too and I’m now hooked! I’m not a big reggae fan at all, though this band is going to be added to my exceptions list of reggae music. It made me think about what is meant by the term “soul food”. And that isn’t always only a spiritual thing. It can also be a physical need, that smallest physical need that can really make you’re day just that much more sweeter. Anyway, I hope y’all are having a fabulous day!
