My distant relatives are from Fiji; their ancestors migrated to that land. During one of their visits to us, the very first thing they did upon arriving was to place soil on their foreheads, bow down, and offer a namaskar to Mother Earth. That moment was beautiful because it served as a reminder that we should never forget our roots.

Hello Brother . I'm from the Fiji Islands and a Punjabi . We all speak in Fiji Hindi here and that's very similar to Bihari and UP Awadh languages . We don't have any problem here , all even the South Indians speak in Fiji Hindi fluently . So nearly every Indian's here speak in Bihari style Hindi .

Paramvir...those people who were brought to these islands from India practically did not have the options of going back because for 5 years they had to stay on this island working as labor and then if they decided to go back they had to bear the cost and find the way back home on their own. If they happen to stay back, they were being helped...

This was very interesting to watch. My family is from Fiji, I was born and raised in America. Its funny when people ask Fijian Indians how they know hindi. Russel Peters literally has a joke where he says the only difference from his ancestors and ours is that his didnt get on the boat lol Fijian Indians have kept their culture alive and each generation has spoke to younger generations in hindi, tamil, telegu, or punjabi. Most of us speak fijian hindi which sounds a little more like urdu. Most of our ancestors are from UP, punjab or south india. Theres a lot of history and beauty in Fiji. We love the indian culture but have an islander way of life.

It's really good to see, Indians outside India, speaking in one of the Indian Languages, but certainly I am stunned this misconception still exists that Hindi is India's national Language 😂😂 oh my god!!! I'm from the Fiji Islands and all Punjabis, South Indian's , Gujeratis here speak and Understand Hindi and Fiji Hindi for Generation's coz it's a simple language and easy to connect with each other . They still speak there mother tongue but among themselves . The Majority here are Hindi Speakers by Birth ( UP and Bihar) . So a lesson for India too . The Majority there are Hindi/ Urdu Speakers so the people from Bengal, South India and other Non Hindi Speaking States should learn Hindi to converse and interact with each other . Such a simple solution, don't need to fully learn it but some important ones . The Natives of Fiji Islands can speak and understand Fiji Hindi and Hindi very well . So why can't the Non Hindi Speakers of India .

@@samkumar658 Even Up And Bihar don't speak Hindi They Just accepted it first.... Hindi is originally from West UP and Delhi. Bihar was first state to accept Hindi for sake of unity and to promote Anti British ideology and it has 3 languages spoken ... Maithili, MAGAHI and Bhojpuri. It is first state to fight against British with nation ideology.

@@Aditya-gp2ih A Good number of Fiji Indian's Ancestors are also from Bihar . They could still speak with a Bihar Accent Today . Fiji Hindi also sounds like Bihari , Maithli mixed up with Urdu , Proper Hindi with few western Words .

@@PradhanmantriBruhh i dont see any issue with others regional language but we can have one language that is easy to understand on a common ground. Hindi with other regional language could co exist. And about Sanskrit as a National language, It's a very beautiful language and it can become national language but its implementation will take hundreds of years as it's a very tough language to understand.
