Now the 2 teams are back in the world series after the covid facade and proved to the rugby world that they still rule. The Aussies and Kiwis had played probably the toughest rugby 7s competition prior to this tournament at 2 consecutive local rugby 7s tournament in Fiji. Even though they both lost but it paid off. They finished at the top 4 in Singapore. On the other hand SA winning streak came to an end this weekend not making the semis. Welcome back Fiji. Your awesome.

Coach Ben Ryan had to pull Fiji back into winning mode against NZ. Fiji was always losing majority of the time before that because of inconsistency on performance especially on their fitness level. Just thankful that Ben Ryan started the change for Fiji rugby because Fiji definitely needed someone who can discipline them in their diet and training like a professional player.

Fiji were so good in the ruck for their own possession. That made a big difference. NZ forward pass was a game-breaker moment: Instead of 14-5 or 7 went to 21-0. Good refereeing: Right amount of clear comms and penalizing and playing "bodies in motion" open footie. Very good balance interpreting and keeping the game flowing. Both teams helped as they both play very good 7s. Great final!

Terrible reffing. That was a ridiculous yellow. I’m not a kiwi - just wanted to see a non-spoiled game between two great teams
@commentarytalk14462 жыл бұрын
@@magnusbrzenk447 Yeah the knock-on was a knock-on - not deliberate so should just take the advantage of scrum if no advantage. Giving yellow was totally unnecessary. That was the World Rugby Rugby Union Madness however - not the given ref's fault. It's the same with VAR decisions in football for handball in the penalty - absolutley height of moronic stupidity by the officiation in both sports. F clueless. Good call by you.

All Blacks are not at all good at 7's for a few years, I don't know but their style of 7's is horrible compared to Fiji, superb playing. AB is playing 15 a side Rugby in 7's really stupid. AB current players are not at all good players. It all depends on the coach as well. That's what happened to 15 a side too after Hansen's departure. Truly speaking I was a die-hard fan of AB sevens now I am sick of watching their 7's as they still fail in sevens against Fiji. All because of their orthodox playing style, and many ugly errors. Please for God's sake don't lose the supremacy brought to AB by the Golden players in early eras. It's really alarming. No good player looking players all look like supper models.
