I understand its your duty to use Punjabi but from my experience with Sikhs from India they are very arrogant and with your khaslitian movements have truly forgotten the real history because of foolish pride. For example Guru Govind prayed to Nina Devi (hindu goodess) before going to battle. Sikhs came into battle 1628? Muslim invades 12th century. Too much hype from non fijian Sikh community
Proud to be born in Fiji and a blessing that my grandparents went to Fiji and I am 3rd generation Fijian and my Punjabi is proper old desi Punjabi. Been to India many times but it's not like Fijian Hospitality. I am greatful for all the hard work, blessings & kirpa of Waheguruthat our ancestors did and due to them I am where I am. Most Fiji Sikhs my generation have done very well in education and are doing extremely well abroad.

There are a lot of Punjabi Hindus and Muslims in Fiji also. When the Indians arrived in Fiji in the 1800s, many Punjabis were still Hindus. You will find Punjabi Hindus in the Samabula and other areas closer to the major towns while the Sikhs moved towards the farming areas.

Something many Fiji Indians still don't understand. Punjabi is an ethnicity. It's not a religion. Sikhism is the religion. But all Punjabis aren't Sikhs. Many are also Hindus and Muslims and Christianity is the fastest growing religion in Punjab. Also, many Sikhs aren't ethnic Punjabis. Sikhs also comes from Kashmir, Uttarkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and the northern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Wahe guru ji ka Khalsa Wahe guru ji ki Fateh. Thank you for the video but there was a punjabi revolution over the Hijde british firangis in 1904 in Vanua Levu where the punjabis taught the white british firangis a bit of lesson. Firangis stopped getting in Punjabis to Fiji because Firangis feared overpowering and overturning of the White dominance. The firangis were abusing the women, children and men and Punjabis were not going to take ot lying down. I know about this because my great grandfather was part of this revolution.

The Guru Granth Sahib opens with the basic concept of the One Universal, supreme Energy called by so many different names across humanity,. Ik oankar - One absolute being (God) Satnam - Eternal truth it's name Karta Purkh - Creator Nirbau - without fear Nirvair - without hate/ enmity Akal Murat - Deathless/timeless image Ajuni - Beyound birth and death Saibang - self existant Gurprasad - known by the Guru's Grace. This is repeated numerous times and at the start of every section as a constant reminder. In the words of the tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh "recognise the human race as ONE"..
