that was in 95 my revelation of the end of techno and house. grew up with this stuff since 1985 when I was 11...damn that was such an ambivalent youth...being an outsider and right in time...

Man, these guys hold up, even after 20 years, way ahead of their time.

Fila Brazillia are, in my book, are the upper echelon of trip hop and downtempo goodness. Their body of work is unrivaled. So much deep, emotional effort poured into their work.

i used to work the door and bartend at some of the best afterhours clubs in LA in the mid 90's...the music was awesome and the vibe was great, but at the end of the day, i couldn't wait to get into my car at the end of the night and listen to this cd, as it was always in the player. to this day maim that tune is one of my favorite electronica cd's and this song is still the shite.

TCD I remember this from way back when. Used to use it (and the B-side)occasionally "playing out". No weirder really than a lot of stuff made around the same time. The north of England turned out HEAPS of good music, still does. This would be classed as techno, and I guess demonstrates that "techno" does not necessarily mean gabba. Anyone likes this orter check out Underground Resistance, Transmat and some of the other "techno" labels out of Detroit. Nice post, Ta.
