@FilAmConnections I just watched a video where Putri was interviewed about the making of Lathi's cover. Putri learned about mixing from KZbin, and her father helped her realise her ideas. Putri explained the steps she did in detail in the interview. First, she recorded the keyboards and the vocals. Then, she added various sounds of string arrangements from an app. To showcase the beauty of Indonesia's traditional musical instruments in the rendition, she added the sounds of Javanese and Balinese gamelans and a Sundanese flute in the mix. It was mind-blowing to find out that it was Putri's first attempt at mixing, and she nailed it beautifully. I wished that the interview had an English subtitle so that the international audience could understand it too. The interview was tapped three years ago, but I just found out about it now 🙊. Putri is not only a singer with amazing vocal but also a multi-instrument player, composer, lyricist, and arranger. May all of her dreams come true.
