Why is that most of them don't have working spell check out the box? I've been using RTE add on based on quill. Most of my users are using a FM version before the web-viewer was changed to Edge, so no native spell checking. :(

Just found by adding quill.root.setAttribute('spellcheck', true); to the bottom of $HTML.toolbar script step enables it :)

I would recommend upgrading to the newer version of FM if you can.. FM19.6 also still works pretty well.. I do have a client who is still stuck with FM18 because their server was too old and was going to cost to much to upgrade their OS.. There are some work arounds but IE has always been very problematic..
