2:25 Here's some serious advice for people with horrible social skills. The answer is simple: go somewhere where you're gonna share at least one interest with people and talk to people. At first it'll be really hard and really awkward but if you keep at it and do it often, you'll eventually overcome your fears and get better at talking to others. As a clinically diagnosed autistic guy, I've always struggled with social interactions. Since I've started college, I've slowly but surely started to talk to more and more people. At first it was only classmates, but now I've recently started to manage to start conversations with random people in random places too: when waiting for the bus, at conventions, asking strangers for directions and/or help, etc. It's been 5 years and I've still got a long way to go to master conversational skills, but my 17 years old self would never believe how far I've come 😅.

i have no interests and im apathetic to everything, at work is the only place when im not alone in my appartment, but everyone is older than me and any topic thats discussed is so boring to me so i usually just space out if there are more than 2 ppl in the room, theres 1 coworker that i enjoy talking to tho but he's in his 50s but his personality is like the introverted persons best friend. so yeah idk how i can talk to new ppl because im so boring and i have nothing to talk about except like depression and suicide and other mental problems

Getting to know new people is generally very hard if you aren't forced together. That was one of the beautiful things about grade school. But making social connections as an adult, when all other connections are gone, is incredibly difficult. Ive has to do this for years at this point. Step 1) focus on the other person's interest. Listen to what they are saying. Ask them to elaborate on points. Show them that you care and are taking in the info. You'll learn new things about them. 2) add to the conversation. Sometimes personal anecdotes might be pretty good as this shows you have understanding of the subject. 3) don't hang out with people who have no interest in reciprocating. This one is hard to detect at first but if you're showing interest in them and they have no interest in you, don't waste your time on them. Remember to practice active listening and that it's a long game. You don't get friends or social skills over night.

My rule for paying for dates, if you planned the date you pay for it. So if you ask someone out and you have a particular place in mind then you should pay for it. Second rule, if you feel like you are being taken advantage of reassess the relationship. Paying for dates shouldnt feel transactional. If you find yourself paying for dates a lot and start to feel like its unfair you have to bring it up. Better it figure it out then let those feelings simmer.

Every single time start to watch vtubers because they can be funny in clips, and I start mentally associating them with like RussianBadger and Markiplier I run into one of these style videos and I snap back to “holy shit… that’s right… this community is really fucking weird and these dudes have no social skills…” and they have issues I can only barely relate to. Like I was the short scrawny nerd kid in elementary school and 7th grade so I got bullied relentlessly but girls always hung out with me and tried to date me because I was funny and cute apparently. But then in 9th grade all of a sudden I was 6’3 and muscular from boxing and football so I started being like the protector of my nerd friends and the wing man to get girls around them. I was also working as a ranch hand so I had a tricked out 86 camaro and an apartment in high school which made girls like me more. Then I went to the marines and college and nothing really changed. I did feel like an outcast because I didn’t have many guy friends not realizing it’s because girls liked me so I became insecure as a kid thinking I was a loser when the opposite was true so I can relate to not feeling good enough at an early age but it never made sense to me how guys can go their whole life at 25 not even kissed a girl. I’m not making fun of you at all it just blows my mind because there are so many ways to meet girls without you know… being like me trying to not sound douchey but their are girls at cosplay events, sport events, bars, bookstores, hell it’s damn near impossible not to meet women downtown on a Friday night. Just clean yourself up, get decent clothes like jeans a black T-shirt and converse nothing crazy like a stupid fedora, and hit the gym. Go downtown with your friends and just make small talk to socialize. Baby steps boys.

The reason why men getting dating advice from other men is really bad is because men don't actually know what women want. Men think women want muscles and Lamborghini's etc. But the reason why men think women want these is because MEN find it attractive. And there is a term for men doing things to attract other men. It's gay. You would think that good dating advice would come from the gender you are interested in dating, and not the assholes who had constant failed relationships. It's called being a gentleman. Idk what to call it if you're a woman, but the concept is the same. Also if you want to split 50/50 but instead offer to pay, how the fuck is the other person supposed to know that you want them to pay 50/50? Gold diggers are the minority you know? The very tiny overrepresented-in-medias minority. The chances of you landing a gold digger is between zero and nothing unless you earn >200k/year. If somebody leaves you because you run out of cash, it's most likely because they realized that you're a lost cause and can't stop wasting/spending money. Not just for the fact that you ran out of cash. Sometimes you're just dealt a bad hand but if you're a compulsive buyer, I understand why nobody would want to stay with you.
