I don't understand this comments, Zhang broken and open Fillip's head at the start of the third round and imidietly he started punching the open wound and they are talking about that behind head pull in the first round, one can see on other clips, that Zhang put his leg in between Hrgovich's legs and pulled him on the left... exactly.. DAMAGE and AGGRESSIVENSS helps push a ROUND over to someone.. if its a EVEN round .. aggressiveness or DAMAGE of punches CAN HELP judges push over the round to the other guy.. Maybe old school amateur points scoring hgovic won, but this is pros. Hrgovic was not in control of anything that happened in that ring all night. A lot of people make the sMe arguments for lara in the canelo fight. They just look at punch totals without any regard f or what is going on right in front of them. @@CoelhoSports This is 100% incorrect. I hope nobody listens to this foolishness. Hrgovic was the aggressor for most of the fight. Hrgovic outlanded Zhang by 50+ punches. Zhang did next to nothing for the second half of the fight. Rounds are not won by keeping your guard up and being too afraid to throw punches (or just waiting for the perfect moment to counterpunch). Hrgovic clearly won this fight.

@@CoelhoSports Thats not how rounds are scored in the pros. Landed punches, activity and ring generalship are the main factors in who takes a round. Naturally, there are moments that are hard to score as how to measure quality vs quantity. Then you look at footwork, defense and throwed punches which are of secondary importance. In the amateurs, the biggest significance is given to cleanly landed punches and judges sometimes even ignore all the other aspects, which is why some fighters just dont make it in the pros, while being successful in the amateurs. I don't know where you got all your info from, you're way off. One thing I will agree though, is that people sometimes blindly look at compubox stats, but in this case its too big of a difference. Herg threw about 700 and landed more than 200 punches which is a lot. I cant think of anyone save Usyk and Joyce who throws 700+ punches in the fight. Zhang had about 390 thrown and 150 landed. Herg was simply busier and that is the truth

Beating Joe Joyce doesn't make him an all time great or the most fearsome puncher. Wilder is way more fearsome than Zhang, especially considering his freakish power in his 215 lb natural weight and 99% knockout rate. Wilder's style, speed and power is all wrong for Zhang. Wilder throws and moves at some really weird angles and he keeps his knockout power for 12 rounds. Zhang at 282 pounds will gas out after 3-4 rounds and Zhang's corner from New Jersey are a mess. I expect a flash one punch knockout by Wilder like he did to Robert Helenius.

Had Zhang winning it the first time I watched it, didnt expect him to be so good. That being said, I believe we were all just expecting Hergovitch to run through him, so when Zhang did well, it seemed like a robbery. My scorecard from this morning is as follows: 1. Zhang 10 - 8 disputable, which I will elaborate, but officially a kd so Zhang takes it 2. Herg 10 - 9 3. Zhang 10 - 9 4. Herg 10 - 9 5. Neither 10 - 10 Zhang put great work in the very end, but not enough to take it imo. Herg did more overall. 6. Zhang 10 - 9 7. Herg 10 - 9 8. Herg 10 - 9 9. Zhang 10 - 9 Zhang didnt do enough to win the round clean, but Hergovitch turned away in the 9th and dropped his defense while getting hit with hard flush shots, in which case its common for a fighter to lose a round, so Zhang got it 10. Herg 10 - 9 11. Herg 10 - 9 12. Herg 10 - 9 This time Zhang turned away and started running Winner: Hergovitch 115 - 113 Overall a very close fight but not a robbery, especially considering the kd in the 1st round. Zhang kept stepping on Hergs front foot with his own front foot, and then pulled him down with the punch that went behind the head (while he was standing on his foot). If that was a real knockdown, Zhang would have jumped on Hergovitch right then and there and he knows it. Moreover, Zhang continued stepping on his foot later in the fight, which made Philip move to the right instead of moving to the left which orthodox fighters normally do when facing southpaws, and which Philip himself mostly did in the first round. I think the headbutt in the third wasnt intentional, but that kind of injury may have contributed to Philips weird body language from 3rd round onwards. That 9th round was very bad at the end and if Herg continues having similar moments in the future, it will cost him. Very very strange, but he pulled through and dominated the rest so respect to him I guess... As for Zhang, I believe this was the best version of him that we've seen and that his cardio in this fight was as good as it will ever get unfortunately. Curious to see what will happen in Wilder - Zhang fight and will we see Zhang at his finest, or will we see a man close to retirement as he looked against Parker. These are some of the things I noticed watching the fight this time and personally, I think its unfair to say there was a robbery in place. The right man won on the night and hopefully we have yet to see the best of both

although Hrgović received illegal head shots in the second round and a blow to the back of the head and a pull to the bottom in the first, he managed to defeat Zhang 7 to 5 in the rounds, let's also not forget that this is not Hrgović's best night and that he is a much better fighter than he showed himself to be. .I can't wait for the fight with Dubois to show the world of boxing at its best!

I understand the referee not seeing that Zhang stepped on Hrgovic's foot (accidentally or not) and pulled him down in round 1 and so he counted it as a knockdown but if a powerful puncher like Zhang damaged Hrgovic in 1st round he'd finish him in later rounds, yet Hrgovic lasted all 12. And Hrgovic got up immediately and obviously wasn't hurt. But yea even if we count that as knockdown as the referee did, Hrgovic still wins. Not that it matters now lol.

Yes in this fight the commentators were very very biased, From the fourth upto the final round Hirgovic won all the rounds outrightly, however, commentators were very very biased, if commentators were judges, then they would have given the fight to Zhang, thank you to the good judges. The World Boxing Organization must check on which commentators to put in such a crucial fight, these commentators were busy chatting their own businesses and biased analysis of previous fights instead of giving people the right and fair coverage of the fight, this must stop.

Yeah I don't know what all this "robbery" BS from British fans was. So I watched the fight being impartial and had Hrgovic winning by 4 points, then I watched the fight being biased for Hrgovic and had Hrgovic winning by 6 points, then I watched the fight being biased for Zhang and STILL had Hrgovic winning by 1 point. Zhang was outclassing Hrgovic for the first 6-7 rounds until Zhang gassed out in the middle of round 7. Yes Hrgovic landed a good shot in the 4th but still Zhang was controlling that round and edge him there. You still have to remember that Zhang knocked him down in the first round which deducts 1 point to it. So it’s 115-114 or 115-113 in favor of Zhang for me or a draw it worst. Hrgovic didn’t win that. It was a really close fight!!

It’s not that Zhang doesn’t want to rematch Hrgovic after beating Joyce for the first time because he almost made a close deal with Tyson Fury in July until Joyce activated a rematch. Now before the Parker fight happens, Zhang revealed it on the Chinese media that Hrgovic doesn’t want to fight him now because he wants to keep his IBF mandatory position and scared to lose it.

Hrgovic left his guard open in round 9 and used his face to eat those punches which loses him a point in that for his carelessness but I think that round is 10-10 or 10-9 for Zhang. Hrgovic was doing quite good in that round but his carelessness losses him on that. I would score it 115-114 for Zhang or a draw at worst. Just watched this fight again, it’s a really good and close fight with both highly competitive fighters. This fight includes a knockdown in the first round which also deducts one point to it. Funny enough how you’re crying about the knockdown in the first round that it was a pull down, rabbit punch bla bla bla…which sounds so non sense to me.
