This doesn’t look like a poor Filipino family. Not rich, but not poor. The family has a restaurant, store, and farm. They have their own homes and everyone seems to work. They are doing just fine on their own. Better than many in the west!

Once she introduces the foreigner to her family the selling price starts negotiating, I'm sure they'll want at least $5,000 USD, and he takes her whole family, I'm. pretty sure she has kids maybe 3 or 4, after they accept him the family wants him to build a house, and like all other dumb foreigners he'll say yes.

You should always wear eye protection on a motorcycle/scooter as a minimum. It would suck to lose an eye to a rock that fell off a truck or to a large insect. There are a lot of people in the Philippines with a missing eye.

Whenever I and gf ride motorbikes in Philippines, we travel with our own good quality helmets. Riding around with no helmet.....thats for amateurs. Wait till you see how the head of a rider hit by a truck looks like.....seen it plerty of times on the highways of Leyte, Samar , Mindanao, Siquijor etc.....

She wants him for money so he can financially fund her family to buy land and build a house. I have met your sort before young lady 😂 There is lots of Philippines women working in Daubi. As soon as they get their monthly salary, they send money back home to their family who will be looking after their children for them. 99% of these women are single mothers with children from men who have beat them and cheated on them. The men in the Philippines don't pay child support they just abandon them and leave the women to bring up the kids.

If I understood the young lady correctly, she said they are in Barangay Tasiman...about 100km from General Santos City. He is definitely NOT the first "non-pinoy" to be in that area...the Sarangani region of southern Mindanao.... pre-pandemic foreign visitors being around 1.5 million to the area (with the tourism finally starting to return to the area in pre-pandemic numbers now)...and it's a popular area to visit among Philippine nationals!! So, is it possible that some locals have never seen a "non-pinoy"? Yes. Is is probable? Highly unlikely!!
