I have watched Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt literally dozens of times and I cry every time. I have loved Johnny Cash since the 1950's when he came out with, I believe his very first record, "Cry, Cry, Cry." I never met him and of course he wouldn't know me from Adam, but I felt like I knew him so well that it was almost like he was one of my brothers and when he died, I cried like a baby. This song shows the tortured side of Johnny Cash, but I hope you will react to "A Boy Named Sue" or "The One on the Left is on the Right" or "One Piece at a Time". These are songs that show the humorous side of Johnny Cash. Also, I would love to see you react to "Here Comes That Rainbow Again" or "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down". They are both beautiful ballads that tell stories. I loved your reaction to "Hurt" and I subscribed so I will be checking out your future reactions. New subscriber from Nashville.

He recorded this song and made this video just before he and his wife died just a few months apart. He had lead a very rough life full of drugs and womanizing before his second wife June Cash got hm to change his life. Lot of regret in Johnny Cash's voice while singing this song.

This song is a heavy metal song from Nine Inch Nails that was written from the perspective of a young man going thru addictions, - and then Johnny chose this as his final song and sang from perspective of someone at the end of their lives with regrets

Another legend, the man in black Always makes me 😢 He looks so old here, my age, just before his wife June Carter died and him a few months later, she's on the stairs. He had a very eventful life and his wife June was a member of the very well known Carter family, country music. She got him back on his feet after a long struggle getting him off drugs and womanising. They were devoted to each other and loved each other till the end. This song was written by someone else and is about heroin addiction, but yes it can be Mr Cash's life....
