So my 75% Spanish dead mother should be posthomous stripped of her carnival queen title during the 50's because she's so white rather than morena, so her part filipino blood was irrelivant for winning that title! Ditto with my mixed blood (more caucasian looking) cousin, who won a crown in binibini in the 70s, how dare they both won crowns when they are not true filipinas right?! And how about my daughters? BORN in the PHILIPPINES with only about 10% part filipino blood (my father's father was Chinese Portuguese from Macau) they don't have the rights to be called filipinas right?! OK I GET IT.😊

Many filipinas are not anymore pure filipinas. Whenever i go home i would be surprised at young women i'd meet in the mall and elsewhere, they look chinese, caucasians etc. I believe even Sherlyn looks spanish. The brown/asian features that the general filipinos have today, were from another group of foreigners, the MALAYS, from nearby Malay Peninsula who came to breed with our natives for hundred of years before Magellan came. If other races come to breed with the present Philippine generation, it is just but the SAME story. I'm Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, with around 10% filipino mix born in the Philippines. And you can't make my kind of people invensible, we have the same rights to be called filipinos. BESIDES if you don't look like an aeta today, somewhere along the way with your ancestral bloodline, must be mixed with whatever foreigner there was.

finn im so happy for sherlyn!!!! being the support system of sherlyn is the best thing you do. :-). even sherlyn didnt win the crown, sherlyn win your heart. Crown is just temporary, it lasted only 1year reign and the price (money) can easily be gone. But the memories and the TIME that u spend together can NEVER be replace. Just enjoy your journey together, love and care one another!
