My friend from russia, you must use evaporated milk for your Pininyahang manok recipe, gata or coconut milk is not a substitute for that evaporated milk. Here in the Philippines, I use Alaska evaporated milk with yellow label when i cook pininyahang manok. Alaska evaporated milk has varieties, the one labeled with white and the one labeled with yellow. The latter suits for cooking.

Tanya, if you like this chicken dish then you might want to try sweet and sour meatballs. The sauce has carrot and canned pineapple too but you need to add sweet bell pepper, some onions and garlic and don't use coconut milk, just use ketchup, vinegar, sugar and water then cornstarch dissolved in water to thicken the sauce. It's delicious with rice too!

Tanya, I suggest you watch Kuya Fern's Cooking. I always watch him because his cooking is simple but flavorful. He also explains why you need to do this and that, and sometimes with tips too. The recipes is always shown in description of each dish. ☺️ I also recommend Chef Manabat, he is always jolly person and same with kuya fern, each video goes with helpful tips. 😁
