He proposed before the end of his holiday, but I said no because he was not my boyfriend. He did not lose courage despite my answer and continued to write and call me. He was British Telecommunications’ number one customer. 😅 And guess what? In December 2022 we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary.

@@SusieinthePhilippines when you live in a certain locality you grow weary of it you want to find something new and promising sorry I was speaking of myse,f I came from a sleepy little town in cavite where the main recreation was either basketball in town plaza or playing billiard sometime going for a swim in the river we had a concrete water tank where climbing on top you can view the glittering lights of manila by night I viewed it with excitement being a highschooler I said to myself someday I will live in manila and beyond I had the realization of that dream I now live in Australia the fi.ipinos living in the far flung province wanted to get out and live in manila for them provincial life is stagnant without money and men can only think of drinking alcohol no jobs and be with friends the whole day doing nothing except chitchat and its a hard reality after 20 years I came back to my home town although being elevated into a city with the advent of modernization in my eyes its still the same people I knew never work for 20 years being contented of idle lifestyle but the sad thing is its been passed on to the children too likewise they became like them i guessed old habits die hard if I did not leave I might be doing the same thing that was the social norm in my hometown at that time
