Hey Leah. So sorry that this happened to you! The first guy was just plain rude and I’m sure if Gary hadn’t walked ahead it would have been the last rude comment for that guy. People can be selfish alright. You should have looked at that 40 year old fat woman and asked her ‘when she buys clothes does she buy by the metre??’ Tomorrow is another day. Also my girlfriend and I are in Bayawan and have started a KZbin channel called ‘Che and Adrian’s Vlog.’ I hope it’s ok to share it here? If not then just delete. Take care and as always thanks for sharing! 🙏

That's the first question that cropped up in my mind too as soon as I saw both your kids. Your older daughter is from another man. So you were a single mother when you married your husband. That's so typical of a Filipina. Yes, it's disrespectful to ask a stranger such questions but deep down fact is fact. A Filipina will get pregnant, deliver a child out of marriage, then her boyfriend will disappear, then she registers herself on a dating site and finds a stupid white man (most of the times, a grandfather husband), seduces him and then marries him and has his kid. Marrying a white man elevates her position in the Filipino society by several notches, suddenly people start thinking she is extremely rich, her new kids have white skin, green/blue eyes and straight nose and she has found herself an idiot who is willing to not only support her child from another man but her parents, step-parents, 1000 siblings, 10,000 cousins, 100,000 distant relatives, a million neighbors and a water buffalo in the province. If she plays her cards right, she lands herself a visa of the US/Canada/Australia/Germany/Faroe Island/Denmark, or NZ and becomes extremly rich because her grandfather husband will die soon, given his age. That's the story of almost all the lucky single mothers in The Philippines. Honestly speaking, I am in complete favor of such marriages. A Filipina finds a rich old husband who pays her bills, supports her family until he dies, elevates her position in the society and he gets a housemaid, a cook, a cleaner, a massage therapist, a nurse, and an excellent bedmate. It's a win-win for both parties.

It is hard to think of what to say in the heat of the moment. If someone else, in the future, asks that rude question again, you could say, “Yes I am sure because I am a woman. Only women know for certain who the father is. Are you sure your children are yours? Ask your wife, she knows”.

@@williamsaltiel-gracianmph613 You are correct. It is possible, with DNA tests, for a man to know with certainty that a child is biologically his. I was only offering a sharp-tongued reply to a rude question. The fact that my reply isn’t 100% factually accurate doesn’t reduce its impact on the rude man. After all, in all likelihood, the man asking the rude question has not had a DNA test to verify the children he is raising are biologically his. :-).

Something my father taught me when I was a child is that while you owe Family the truth, you don't owe strangers asking questions the truth or an explanation about anything. Just say excuse me and turn away, walk on, go back to what you were doing or whatever else you need to remove yourself from the situation. Hell if you want to have a bit of fun, just make up something crazy and watch there face as it bounces around in their heads. No. You don't owe strangers asking questions anything - not your name, not your phone number, where you live, kids names ... anything.

Yes, true. I am in complete favor of such marriages. A Filipina finds a rich old husband who pays her bills, supports her family until he dies, settles all her debts, elevates her position in the society and in return, the husband gets a housemaid, a cook, a cleaner, a massage therapist, a nurse, and an excellent bedmate. It's a win-win for both parties. Just a word of caution to the husbands who take the Filipina damsel in distress under their wings: When her kids from another man grow up and if the stepfather (her husband) and the kids don't see eye to eye, the Filipina mother will always, ALWAYS take her kids' side. She will go to any lenghts to protect her children's interests, even if they were wrong. At that time, she will conveniently forget that her new husband gave her a new life, paid all her bills, paid all her her debts and paid off her student loans, and supported her family and raised her kids from another man like his own, invested his time, money and emotions in them and finally she will abandon him for the sake of her bast*rd kids. I have seen this happen several times in US and Canada.

So sorry to hear that, usually people that say things like that are envious or jealous of you or what you have. Don't let them get to you (I know that is hard to do) and if possible don't engage them or ask if they are brave enough to say that to your husband! Just know you are beautiful inside and outside and are a great mother and good wife so who needs more than that? You need a splatter screen for your fry pan so you don't get burned (especially wearing that lovely satin dress).

It's not easy for a Filipino/a to tell someone their being rude, disrespect, and inappropriate because you're raised to be non-confrontational. It's not that hard for a foreigner to say it, but of course if we say it, then we are the ones being rude and disrespectful. The simple answer would have just been to say "It doesn't affect you and is none of your business," and walk away, don't entertain people like that by answering their questions. If you answer their questions they won't think or realize how inappropriate they are being and will continue, that's why you need to tell people when they make a mistake or are being a problem, you can still do it in a polite way. Remember, it's an "ALLEGEDLY" religious country, the more stories you hear the more you realize, some just SAY they're religious because that's what society expects, others are only religious when it benefits them. Religion isn't Build-A-Bear, you don't get to pick and choose which morals and values you follow, it's ALL or NOTHING. When I go to the store, I know what I'm there for, and I go and get it and get out. The less time I'm there the less chance I'll WASTE money on something I don't really need and not have to stand around talking to people either. When I'm at the store in line, I look at the person behind me, if they have less items, I'll let them go 1st (Unless my stuff is already on the conveyor), they're usually done checking out before I'm done putting everything on the conveyor any ways. You give what you get, if you want to be respected you have to give respect first. Maybe the pregnant remarks was because you said you have TWO kids but only 1 was with you so she assumed you meant you were pregnant.

Get yourself a list of some one-liners. If she was fat or big, tell her be careful wearing high heals, you may strike oil. Or, if she's wearing green, say if that dress had pockets, you'd look like a pool table. It doesn't really match your personality to say those things, you seem very sweet and nice.

My father is also not my biological dad. Looking back I think it's good to not tell her until she is older. It doesn't really matter for her if she has his genes, if he cares for her, she will feel like he is her father, even after she finds out it's not biological. To me that's what a father is, a parent who cares for you. Her situation is so much better than to have a guy there who IS her biological dad, but he abuses her. To me, that's even worse than having no dad at all.

People like that bring it down in your life. There are a lot of people out there that are just very miserable or have miserable lives. And I have learned that people like that the only way they can make themselves feel good is by criticizing or making other people feel bad about themselves. I usually try to stay away from people like that I just smile and try to be very polite and to be honest it actually pisses them off more when you're nice and polite. Because you are not given them the reaction that they expected from you. Just keep being you and God bless. And do your thing about your daughter. Always remember blood does not make you family the love in your heart is what makes you family. Maybe one day I'll I will message you personally tell you my story

But my asawa has gotten used to me sometimes saying to a mother or a father or the parents together with their young anaks, "Enjoy him/her/them while he/she/they are young". I wait a few seconds and watch their smiles to see if they know what is coming. Then I say, "Because one day he/she/they will turn into teenagers." They always smile with a laugh as they think back to when they became teenagers. Talaga.

Such adorable wee ones! Brings back memories. As for the knucklehead at the mall? I am deeply sorry to hear you and your adorable children got asked such rude questions. I was always taught, you owe only your family or the courts the truth, and for children, as much truth as is age appropriate. Strangers, salespersons, so on? You owe nothing, ma'am. Not even an acknowledgement that they asked a query, if too inappropriate. Besides, genes are weird. A 23 and me shows my red haired, Blue eyed, taller than I son is definitely mine, despite neither of us having any of those traits... but his grandfathers on both sides did... so the genes just expressed finally. (we were looking to see if any French ancestry in there, not concerned about parentage at that point.) Clearly you're a great mom, and a loving, close family.

When I was living in Sardinia, Italy years ago, I never knew that the elderly randomly liked to cut in line. I was getting tickets for a ferry one day and as I waited for my turn to pay, two old ladies cut in front of my completely ignoring my presence. At first it used to bother me. Then as time went by I thought it was hilarious, so I started to do the same sometimes so that they could see how it felt. After awhile they knew who I was. If they were respectful, I would let them cut in front me. If not, I would act just as crazy as them.

Fools are fools, rude is rude and ignorant is ignorant. I have one mixed Filipino/European child and an adopted Filipino daughter with my wife of 8 years. Don't let these idiots get to you. My wife was disrespected by a Filipino woman in the local mall, which started over a minor disagreement that somehow escalated. My wife was with our kids - I was not there - and the woman and her partner/husband made comments to the effect that my wife was somehow a prostitute for having children by two different men, one of whom was a foreigner, i.e. me. Fortunately, my wife has learned to step back and use logic/argument as opposed to emotion in any conflict. She was very polite, which probably made them lose so much more face. My daughter did not extrapolate on exactly what happened but she was somewhat brimming with pride at how her mother dealt with the situation.

It sounds like some kind of a racial thing. People used sometimes think my ex-wife was the nanny of my kids because she is black although our kids look white.

People are just ignorant! My 3 children are all Asian and are adopted, 2 from Cambodia and the youngest from China. My ex-wife and I are both white. When I would take the kids out by myself, everyone just assumed that my wife was Asian and would tell me what beautiful children they were and that my wife must be so gorgeous. However, when their mother took them out, she would get dirty looks because people would assume that her husband was Asian and that was not as acceptable to them. This happened about 20 years ago in the US. We even had a visitor at church ask us in front of the children why we would adopt children from another country rather than locally when American kids need homes? My response was, not that it's any of your business, but if you took the time to know us before asking such inappropriate questions in front of our children, you might have found out that we waited years to adopt both locally and internationally! And that ALL CHILDREN DESERVE A HOME! So if you feel so strongly about it as you appear to, would you like me to recommend an adoption agency or a social worker for you to do your part? Hmmm, I never saw her again.

Some years ago when I first decided to find a Filipino girlfriend , I was thinking Thai at first , anyway it’s not allowed there in Phillipines that a foreigner be left alone with Filipino children and in public you will draw attention to yourself a white guy with children, it’s not a good look - bear in mind I’m a foreigner as well so I think of this rule before I let myself be in this situation - yes I also seen this selfish behaviour once at a ATM , this women couldn’t get her card to work instead of moving away she stood there and made a line up off people wait anyway that was my first experience with rude people there 😅

Sorry to hear this man upset you. Why did he think it was any of his business? Being a father involves more than the physical act of fathering the child. When you and Gary met he clearly understood thay you and your daughter came as a "package deal" if I want this filipina I accept her daughter. You married had a second daughter and I'm sure he loves each girl equally. And why shouldn't he they are both adorable 😊

You did the right thing. Never horror a bigoted idiot with a respectful response. They've done nothing to warrant your respect. Your daughter's father is the person who treats him as her Dad. Biological determinism is a dumb idea; please do not take anyone expressing this notion seriously.

It's offensive sure, but it's an *existential nightmare* for men. Paternity fraud has been prevalent throughout all of human history, there's no shortage of men who have _died_ without passing on his genes simply because of female mating strategy. That said, it probably would have been more prudent for the guy to ask the man instead of you.

Its NO ONES business who the father of your children is. Even family should never say that in public or infront of the child. He was clearly jealous. The only thing a stranger shud say is your children are so cute! The lady who called you pregnant is obviously just lying. I watch many of your videos to prepare for my filipina bride and Ive NEVER seen you look even close to pregnant!

Leah it is very hurtful when you experience rude people, especially when you are doing the correct thing. I have a feeling that she insulted you is because she is jealous. Gary did the correct thing by protecting his wife and family. Hopefully he shamed them into not trying that stunt again. A online high five for Gary for doing the correct thing.

They are lucky i wasn't there you think your husband gets mad when someone disrespects women, I am the worst. I am a big guy and very scary looking when I am mad. I wouldn't have just said something I probably would have tossed their things in all different directions out of your way and said you are next ma'am, as they are out picking up all their things. I am 6'2" and 250 lbs and am bald with a beard, when I look at people they get scared. It even works better when I am wearing my Harley hat. LOL! I look like a big biker guy. LOL! When I talk I have a deep voice that is also scary. Honestly, I am a big teddy bear until I see women being disrespected, especially by men. Women who know me feel safe when I am around. When I hear this type of story it gets me upset just hearing someone did that to you. Keep thinking positively and be happy. They were ignorant people to do that. Plus I am old enough to get in the senior line, so you are welcome to go with me anytime and let anyone try to say different to me! LOL! I promise they will never do it again! SMILE! 🤣

My reaction to such a rude question would be "Would you like to ask my husband?" Or just walk off and find Gary, I'm sure that if Gary knew about that question, Gary would have handled the situation in a Christian manner.
