I'd choose street vendor lechon over any fancy steakhouse steak any day. Hell, call me crazy but I'd choose lechon over wagyu. I'm really surprised lechon hasn't mainstreamed in America yet, like there should be as many lechonerias as there are churrascarias.

The Lechon goes into another level if you have the sauce with it. If you go to an actual Filipino "Night" market, the real prize is the steamed/baked desserts. Barbecue is a close second and should be available pretty much all day. Also I agree with the others, you should've had Halo-Halo.

Every WEDDING, FIESTA, BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES or even Farewell Parties! Letchon Kawali is also served by most of the Filipino Restaurants either here in pur Country or and anywhere abroad. adobo already existed during the pre-spanish colonial period even before the Chinese traders came. there is a version of adobo without soy sauce proving that it was there before the Chinese trade began. why? because soy sauce is from China. when the spaniards came, they were so amazed by what they saw in the islands. They kept on renaming things and one of them is now what we call ADOBO. from the Spanish word ADOBAR. meaning "to marinate".. my Mexican officemate once told me that they also have a cuisine named Adobo/adobar, whatever you call it, and she said both are totally different. it has the same name maybe because it is also being prepared by marinating it.
