All the pieces have finally fallen together as to why Kristin has seemed 'off' during all these videos she and Stephen have made. Kristin just released her 2023 Summer Uncommon James jewlrey collection called "Back to Laguna", along with a video of a reunion of most of the Season 2 Laguna Beach cast members. It was Kristin's birthday during the filming, and they all went out to party after their day of filming. Talan reported he was very hungover the next day and it was one of the best evenings of his life. Kristin posted a picture of herself in this outfit while in her LA Condo (instagram story) a day or two after her birthday (can't remember exact date). Everyone has comented throughout all these cute little videos that Kristin seems "off". I knew the timing was around her birthday and she was probably just tired and hungover. They just confirmed this in the video, and the reason why she is totally hung over is because she went out and partied with the Season 2 cast the night before!! I didn't see Stephen in any of the pictures, so he probably bowed out - most likely out of respect for his girlfriend. I bet Stephen would be more into the idea of getting back together if she didn’t have three whole children already. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the biggest reason he wouldn’t be interested in getting back together. Not that there’s anything wrong with having kids. But he seems like the kinda guy who would want to have kids for the first time with someone else also having kids for the first time, and not into the idea of being a “step dad” at his age. I don’t know why. I just can’t see him readily doing that. Sucks that Kristin and Jay didn’t work out. A lot of guys aren’t waiting in line to be a first time dad as a step dad to 3 kids. Or father figure during the dating stages. It’s a lot of “baggage” to them. Apparently as per Stephen and Kristin they did kiss or hook up or whatever the first night they had a reunion. If they get along this well still, and there’s still attraction… I can’t think of any other reasons he wouldn’t be down. And I can see Kristin not being down because she wouldn’t like the idea of a guy not readily being ok with her kids. Just my thoughts. Could be wrong. But I have a strong feeling I’m not.

He's got a very serious (and adorable) girlfriend that he will probably propose to after they finish the podcast in June. Just my guess. Kristin was dating someone else when they had their little reunion where they kissed, and then after that she started seeing Jay again. The timing has never been right for them, but regardless Kristin has said several times that "once she's done, she's done" about relationships - including with Stephen when asked if they had a future (however, she said that when he already had a girlfriend, so it could have just been a cover of her real feelings). I wonder if she is a little sad that he is with someone else because she said she's "looking for a nice guy". I totally agree that most men would not want to be with someone that already has three kids before they've even had one of their own. It seems there are too many obstacles for Kristin and Stephen to ever become a thing... distance (they live in different states), Kristin's three kids, very unequal fame/monitary worth, and possibly no interest for Kristin. Very very sad because we all see the chemistry between them!
