Fill The Frame? What exactly does that mean? Living in South Florida can be a frustrating experience for someone interested in Woodland Photography. We just don't have the beautiful forests and woodlands that you find in other parts of the world. Often our forests are very messy, especially on the forest floor. I like to call it scrubland. I'm not sure what the real definition of it is. But either way, it is difficult to get a wide angel shot of the forests here in South Florida due to this unattractive ground coverage that we have as well as not having the beautiful oaks, maples, and pine trees that other areas have. One of my goals for 2022, when I am out photographing in the woodlands here in Florida is to fill the frame of my camera. Simply put, trying to zoom in and capture the small, intimate details of the forest rather than capturing the wider scene. For much of this, I will be using my Sony 70-300mm lens rather than my wider-angle lenses.
