Super explanation and demonstration! I have been an amputee all my 58 yrs. of life and have been using the 555 hook or a similar one. It is perfect for my needs, but have always had issues due to the neoprene wearing so quickly. I wish that it could last longer. Usually at the tips it goes down to the metal or steel, so it's hard to tie a lace or string without a work around. Very impressed with your vid though. Thanks!

Update: My prosthetist is letting me try the Serrated hook. It's working out great, but I wish their was neoprene near the rib to open 2 ltr. pepsi bottles. LOL

Another update: I love the serrated hook, but the drawback is their is no neoprene at the rib. When I put something between them, being that they are metal they slip easily. Going back to my old hook.

My husband uses model 5X hooks, can we buy and replace the nitrkle rubber tine part of the hooks at home?
