Someday, the Sonic franchise should do what the Garfield franchise did. After the 2 live-action Garfield movies came out, Paws Inc. created a trilogy of direct-to-DVD Garfield movies. They were fully CGI, the scripts were written by Jim Davis (creator of Garfield), and they stayed as far away from Hollywood as possible.

Honestly, I think the designs okay, sure Sonic's eyes aren't together and his hands are just white hands not gloves, it still looks like Sonic to me and I'm fine with that

The big thing for me is the trailer- sometimes something that looks off in a still pic can work in a different context (eg the uproar re Sonic Boom redesigns). While I'm not thrilled with it, it's not as bad as I thought it might've been. I'm just hoping we don't get a Alvismurfchanted film about a wacky creature ruining an ordinary person's life.

You wanna know what makes this worse? Paramount released those god awful teasers to make us think he was going to look god awful and yet what we have right now still looks bad. Apparently they thought that what we have now would calm people down. Hahaha, NO. I really wanted to give this a chance....but now I have 0 faith in this movie.
