I’m a big fan of yellow front loader tools (buckets, forks etc) as much easier to find amongst the undergrowth. Same applies to counterweights if they can be coloured (e.g. in the case of the wonderful and much-lamented SOB weight for FS17).

I suggest keeping the excavator near your trailer loading zone. Drag the full trees to there and process all the logs onto 1 pile surrounded by fences/walls/bunker (probably something with concrete) so you can keep them straight.

Its been a while since youve posted this, but if you unload the further rear of the two wood containers and open the doors of the other while still on the trailer, you then wont have to pick it back up with the smaller wheel loader. When the container on the trailer is full, shut the doors then load the second empty container on the rear, open its doors, and load it up. This way you dont have to try to pick up a loaded container. The second biggest wheel loader will lift fully loaded containers easy so if you can get it, you wont have to worry about that.

Good technic. Will have to remember that.

Looking forward to seeing the little Kubota back! That was a nice little skid. Also, just a heads up, the audio was a bit staticky in this video.

I like that the used equipment does randomize the options on what you're buying, and since it doesn't save anything to remove them, it's worth keeping them as configured. I've bought a fully configured loader tractor, wheel weights, loader arm attach point, and panoramic roof. But I've also seen a small spray tractor, configured with the ISARIA mirror mounted crop sensors and narrow tires. The only thing that's a let down (for me), is that used equipment always comes with the smallest engine option - so if you need a bigger engine, it'll always be full price on that upgrade.

Top tip for everyone . The silage attachment for this on Xbox anyway has straps which can extend past the fork . Lift up drive close point down and grab everything . It’s amazing

The multiple container idea would work. Unload the rear container from the low loader, and load logs on the bed into the front container, once full, put the empty container back on the trailer and load it in place.

That would be a lot more realistic than how VF tried to do it in this episode!

I think the small trailer has met its upper limits of usability. Maybe you should invest in a 20ft trailer either goose neck or bumper pull.

I'm very supprised you didn't have a cheaper bit of kit up top permanently cut down a dozen or more trees then before moving the tree grind the stumps to give you full movement. With a small nimble machine wouldn't take to long but would save the processing work time.

What if you stand the containers up and lower the logs in vertically? Then you would have to knock the container back into position in order to move it again

as a stop gap to getting the skid, would it be good to get a winch for the Kubota tractor to pull lumber to you progressing area near the yarder. Also on the container its better to have the container on the trailer to have the extra height to get the logs into the container and also better due to weight.

which harvester head is this for the volvo?
@VirtualFarmer9 ай бұрын
On that harvester it's not a separate head, but instead is a configuration option.

Realistically there is no way that loading shovel will lift a full container mate
